They need to have franchise player contract, max 1 per team.... so 1 max contract per team.

The next biggest contract should be 60% of the Max contract.....

this will prevent multiple stars in one team, unless they plan on HUGE pay cut and a clear label as the "2nd" star.

Paul to Lakers sucks, BUT....they just lost 2 major contributors to their team. Unless they can make another trade to bring in another big, IMO, they've taken a step back in the league with this deal. Bynum can't stay healthy and without Pau and Odom to help shore up the middle, they're a lost worse on the boards and defensively.

I've talked to a number of agents today. They all believe that David Stern will eventually allow the CP3 trade to go through. We'll see.

I don't mind the CP3 trade after looking at what LA gave up for him.

However I will be outraged if they are still able to get Dwight Howard.

I agree with Gilbert. They get CP3 without giving up a pick. They give up to 30+ players to get the best PG in the league.

whats funny is this trade would of given the suns a shot.

Lakers could not afford to get Howard so

it would be

PAUL
KOBE
ARTEST
NO PF
INCONSISTENT BYNUM

then if PAUL walked next year they would be screwed.

It's too bad this didn't go through... New Orleans was actually the winner BY A LOT. They would have got a solid PG in Dragic, two top-ten PFs in Scola/Odom, and a 2nd-tier star in Kevin Martin. The rockets would have been hosed. The lakers would not be a better team though. Kobe Bryant is way too much of a ball hog to share a backcourt with that good of a PG, and the Lakers would have to start Luke Walton, LOL. Derrick Fisher also would not get the playing time he deserves as leader of the team.
