Heh, the classic minor league reliever who throws in the high 90s, but has neither the control nor the secondary stuff to back it up. Shoulder surgery a couple years back probably didn't help either, but throwing hard doesn't much help when you can't strike anyone out, by virtue of the fact that you're simply aiming fast stuff at the middle of the plate each time and hoping for the best.

isent he the guy they traded JJ Hardy for?

then Hardy went on to have a 30HR season with above average fielding... then signed a bargain price contract at 19 million with Baltimore. While this guy amounted to nothing.

Baltimore traded him and another minor league player for Hardy last December.
