Deron and Dwight

Post#1 » by countrybama24 » Wed Dec 14, 2011 9:30 am

Before we traded Dwill, I remember telling my friends if he left, the only way I could continue rooting for him was if he played with Dwight. I loved Deron's game, thought he was a great leader (argue all you want, just my opinion), and knew that all he needed was an athletic big that could defend to start truly competing for a title. I also knew a good PG will act as a force multiplier for dwights offensive game, and couldnt watch the magic without laughing at how comically few lob passes were thrown to him. He's never played with a real PG (jameer doesn't count), and think I'll really enjoy watching the two of them if they play together.

Just wondering what the community here thinks about this.

I'll be mad because a part of me wants Deron to get shafted but Howard and Williams are two of my favorite players so I'd end up cheering for them.

I also think we might get in on that 3 way deal that's going to send Howard to New Jersey. If they're involving another team or two, we would make a lot of sense with our big men assets. We could be the reason why Deron gets his wish and gets Howard in NJ.

I would love to see it for Deron's sake, AND for the fact that a team who is not the Knicks, Lakers, Bulls or Celtics would end up winning a championship. I am so sick of these teams who think its their god-given right to have the best players come their way.

I followed Deron in a Jazz uniform for almost 6 seasons, so it will be hard to just forget about him. I don't have the inside scoop to what went on behind the scenes, but I can understand Deron's desire to play in a big market and if he felt he had a better chance of winning elsewhere. I will root for him always, and where ever Deron is will be second favorite team for years to come.

Think it's their god-given right? Well ****, outside of Boston (not a big fan), these are world class cities. They offer a ton, so players want to go there. I understand you may prefer a small town, but you think someone in their 20's with tens of millions wants to live in a small city with far less entertainment options? Lets be real now.
