NBA League pass

Post#1 » by Moggs24 » Sat Dec 31, 2011 5:01 pm

So last night I get home after work all excited to watch the Heat Wolves game I had taped on NBA League pass only to find 4 hrs of a black screen saying game is blacked out in my market. Anyone else have this problem, my market is NY so it makes no sense.

I find the games are blacked out if they are being shown on a local tv station in your area.

The blackout thing is just stupid. I mean, it's not like the entire world is subscribed to league pass so TNT, ESPN and the other networks are going to lose too many viewers that night. Not everyone is willing to pay $160+ / $200+ so I don't get why they blackout games.

This isn't much of a problem for people like me who have these networks and whatnot but it is a definite problem and extremely unfair for those who don't.

Sometimes it does that. If you go to the local Fox Sports for that city the game will show. I assume you have Directv

Nah I have cablevision. I really don't know what channel it would have been on, but I just hope it doesn't do it once i start paying for it.

Miami was blacked out against the Hornets on New Year's Day.
I'm in the Sarasota/Tampa market. This is Orlando Magic territory.
I spoke with my cable provider and the NBA, which said the game should have been available in my market. Nobody seems to be able to fix it. We'll see what happens tonight.
I won't pay for it if I can't watch the Heat.
