Nash/Bogut for Irving/Varejao

Post#1 » by page » Sun Jan 8, 2012 7:01 pm

There are plenty of posts considering Anderson Varejao trade. I think he's a decent player, and he will provide double-doubles often, but Bogut also gives great amounts of blocked shots. So, basically, I get Steve Nash (I need those assists) and Andrew Bogut and give Kyrie Irving (I like him, he's well rounded) and Varejao in return. My roster is:

PG: Jrue Holiday, Brandon Jennings, Kyrie Irving
SG/SF: Joe Johnson, Luol Deng, Demar DeRozan, Tony Allen, James Johnson
PF/C: Kevin Love, Al Horford, Marc Gasol, Carlos Boozer, Anderson Varejao

Is it a good trade? Would you do that, considering Nash age and that both players are prone to injuries?

Yes, I'd do that. It's a no brainer for me. Nash and Bogut gives you prime numbers at the assists and bpg categories.

Of course you do the trade. Both Bogut and Nash are miles ahead of Irving and Andy

Ya that's a huge steal. That might get vetoed actually.

I dont think its as lopsided as others. Irving can just get a "lightbulb" and turn into Chris Paul. Varejo is alsmost the steals version of Bogut and I am always concerned about Boguts health and Nash is almost 40
