GT: Week 20 Championship Sunday

Post#1 » by rilamann » Sat Jan 21, 2012 11:46 pm

It's going to be a depressing day knowing the Packers should be at Lambeau playing for a trip to Indy instead of sitting at home....

I still truly believe that if we could have just made a few more plays and gotten past the Giants,San Fran would have been a favorable match up for us at Lambeau.

I would also bet a lot of money that after playing and getting a win last week we would have gone into this week with some momentum and better confidence and we wouldn't see the drops and fumbles like we saw last week,Rodgers would have likely returned to himself...ugh.

Ok I'll stop torturing myself...lol

We still have what should be two great games obviously although it will be kinda weird watching an NFC Championship for the first time since 2009 in which we will have zero emotional involvement in.Last year Packers Bears of course and the year before Favre vs the Saints.

Just a reminder of the times,

Ravens@Patriots 2:00pm - CBS

Giants@49ers 5:30pm - Fox

My picks.

49ers 30
Giants 17

Patriots 34
Ravens 24

I'll be rooting for your Ravens Jerrod,I don't really care all that much as far as who wins now that the Packers are out,I just want to see two good competitive games.

Bit if I had to pick a team I would kind of like to see win it all I would pick the Ravens.

It would be kind ironic at least to me if the Ravens win it all,Packers vs Ravens has been my preseason Super Bowl prediction the past 2 seasons.

The Ravens didn't hold up their end of the bargain last season while the Packers won it all, maybe this year with the Packers not holding up their end of the bargain it's the Ravens turn to get half my prediction right...lol

I'm rooting for the Ravens since I live in Redskin/Raven country and I'd like to see Ed Reed get a ring. Also, I'd like to see the 49ers get into the Super Bowl. Harbaugh Bowl Part II.

I'll watch because I still love football. I'm rooting against teams not for teams. Don't like any of them but dislike Giants/Pats more.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

So depressing.

I'm pulling for jerrod's Ravens.

Don't want the Giants to win the thing because they beat us and then we'll have to hear all this Eli is better than Aaron because he has 2 rings nonsense.

Don't want the Pats to win because then the media will slobber over Belichick more than they already do and we'll hear a lot of criticism for being the crappy defense and high powered offense who couldn't get it done.

Don't want the Niners to win because then people will start this goofy, "Rodgers and Smith each have a ring, maybe they're equal." nonsense.

Yeah, I guess I'm in for the Ravens here. Although we'd all get some level of psychic relief if the Giants went out and crushed the next two games in that it would make the Packers loss seem more reasonable.

As a sports fan you live for days like this, obviously it's 10000X more exciting when your team is in it but even if they are not you have to love it when the stakes are this high.

Interesting that if the Giants win, it is going to be a rematch of one of their last 2 Super Bowls.

after the play:

A defensive back made a wrap up tackle. So it IS possible.
