PJ Carlisimo

So we all hate to remember the PJ era, but i was thinking lately, how come the guy couldn't get the team to win? I mean all our guys were good character and hard workers. The talent was there too, U just cannot work out how he only managed 3-30 that year. I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but is he really that bad of a coach?

He was playing KD out of position and had RW coming off the bench, but what was his biggest failing?

He inherited a downright terrible team that was pretty much tanking in Seattle. Bob Hill won 31 games with Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis... they left and PJ won 20 games with rookie Durant (who wasn't all that great). I wouldn't say that's a big surprise or a failing in his coaching.

His second year with the 1-12 start again wasn't so much his fault IMO. He's not a bad coach, but he's not fit to develop a young roster.

The lack of improvement was the weird thing for me in hindsight. That first year, with Rookie KD I dont hold against him, its the second year.
