The game got so ugly so quickly at the beginning of the 2nd half that league pass decided to spare me and shut down. I'll give it to Joe though, take away one of his player of the games beacause I'm still waiting on one of those monster games against a top defender and decent team.

Larry Drew and Josh Smith, but I gave it to Josh because I have seen his act every year and it has been old. Josh Smith gets rebounds and tries to run the break instead of giving it up. Then, when he gets himself in trouble he wants someone to bail him out. Then blames it on them when they don't bail him out. Josh is a horrible basketball player and makes horrible decisions. A lot of his stat sheet stuffing just seams selfish to me.

I went Drew, but plenty of blame to go around. It didn't seem like we had a plan for Joe Johnson getting roughed up by strong defensive wings. Memphis was outhustling the Hawks from the start of the game but he didn't try to address it until after it made an impact on the scoreboard. His substitution patterns were questionable to me. And while I'm sure Josh said something to merit the benching, the timing was poor. Josh's has played sloppy many a time during the last season plus and Drew always turned a blind eye instead of utilizing the teaching moments. To single Josh out on a night when everyone was playing sloppy for the Hawks causes the message to get lost reinforces Josh's persecution complex. LD needs to pick his spots better. Not sure about his sitting of Teague so long either. Anyone is going to have trouble keeping Conley out of the lane, just like other teams will have a problem with Teague. The rules are called that way. I pray that LD isn't going back to try to hold Teague to a much higher defensive standard than he holds other players. I feel it undermines Teague's confidence and hurts Drew's credibility with the team.

Drew did remind them about a possible letdown, but it didn't seem like he had them prepared for what Memphis could do on the court. So he got the vote.
