Jeremy Tyler vs Marshon Brooks

Post#1 » by fullcourt » Wed Mar 7, 2012 9:01 am

i think if all us Hawks fans were honest, majority of us would have selected Jeremy Tyler if the Hawks kept the 18th pick and looked pass Tucker's own Marshon Brooks.

on my draft board i had my prospects in this order.

Nolan Smith
Jeremy Tyler
Nikola Vucevic
Demetri McCamey
Marshon Brooks
Darius Morris

i still would have drafted Tyler over Nolan because i think most people in the NBA have brain washed Hawks fans about how important a center is.

with all of that said, i don't think that the Kirk trade was that bad, because the Hawks ended up giving up Bibby, Jeremy Tyler, and Jordan Crawford, and all three of those guys don't belong in the NBA anyway.

Have you even seen Jeremy Tyler play? He's 6'11, massive length and gots a pretty 17foot jumper. He can play C OR PF... and he's only 20yo.

Tyler, who - at $650,000 - makes one-fourteenth of Biedrins' $9 million salary, averaged just a tenth of a point less, 1.9, than Biedrins in his 14 games with the Warriors. And that came in 4.6 minutes a game, compared with Biedrins' 16.2.

You are not qualified to speak for everyone. I would not have selected him personally. I probably would have taken Singleton or Tobias Harris as I continue to think that we need to upgrade our SF position if we are not going to move Josh there.
