Monta Ellis: What would u Give

Looks like Monta could be had by simply taking Biedrins.

I have always been in favor of this. If we could get Monta without giving up Joe, Josh, or Al when Al comes back we would be so explosive offensively and Biedrins could help if he can simply rebound and block a shot.

What would u give for Monta and Biedrins? It would not be a easy deal to make and stay under luxury next year that is for sure.

Something Centered around Teague/a first round pick/Zaza for Ellis/Biedrins I think that would take us into the tax but if we can pair Ellis, Joe, Josh, and Al together it'll be worth it. That's the best I can do if the trade doesn't involve Josh, Al, or Joe. As for the article the Magic get the steal of the century if they do that trade, they not only get Ellis but also rid themselves of Hedo's awful contract.

Golden State is going to expect value. I doubt we're willing to give up what it's going to take to acquire Monta.

Wasn't it just a week ago that GSW said that they wouldn't trade Ellis unless D12 was in the deal? Something isn't adding up here, and I'm guessing that there is some major posturing going on. GSW and ORL have been doing this Ellis dance for a few weeks now and the song is getting tired. ORL wants Ellis to convince D12 to stay; GSW wants D12. While I do think that Ellis is available even without getting a big name back (rumor is that GSW isn't happy with the Ellis/Curry backcourt and would prefer to shed Ellis with Thompson on board), I'm not sure that the players discussed here would be enough to convince GSW to pull the trigger. Maybe there's some 1sts in there though... maybe a lot of them.

Even so, IF GSW was willing to simply dump the Ellis/Biedrins combo, then yeah, I'd wish we'd get in on those conversations. From the rumor mill, all it'd take to pry Kaman free is an expiring and a 1st, and I'm not 100% that NOH wouldn't take on a little salary to make that happen at this point. From the value being discussed leaving ORL, I'd think that a Hinrich/Marvin/Zaza package would be somewhat appealing and we wouldn't even be demanding Wright back.

A team with ellis, jj, smith, horf would be siiiiick though...would love to see it as a fan....my doubts on ownership though. Also i would have some doubts with that core too, at least in terms of sharing the ball.

Ellis+ Biedrins+ Udoh for JJ+ Zaza + Damp and 1st

trade Biedrins for C starving teams...oops that would be us then (hence adding Udoh to our combo PF-C list or to add in future trade). Amensty Biedrins if not (half the price, not even that of JJ)

JT- Pargo- KH
Ellis- Green-TMac
Marvin- Stachouse-Vladman
Smoothe- Ivan
Biedrins- Udoh- Collins/Al

What's my motivation? Am I trying to field a more exciting team or trying to win? If I'm trying to win I don't want Ellis. More exciting then I would give up Joe, Kirk and a future pick (not this year) for Ellis, Biedrins, and Udoh

BTW, Golden State would pass on that offer

Then JJ + Zaza + ATL 2nd for Ellis + Biedrins (amnesty for a 1/3 of Joe's cost this summer) + Mc Guire (to be waived)

Why GS does this? You take Biedrins contract for the guy who felt 12 on their rotation.
They get decent return for Ellis in Joe , huge contract but decent starting C at back-up cost with Zaza.
Makes sense for both teams...

Udoh is see as the future center. Pretty much untouchable for what we might offer.

And even if they're trying to dump Biedrins salary, I don't think they're 'throwing in' Ellis, he has a very reasonable contract and is a great offensive player, you don't just throw those players away.

Udoh is already better than Biedrins. He would be a decent player in the NBA, limited offensively but good on defense. Ellis is the typical losing team player. He's got no clue how to play team basketball. I'd rather have Curry with his ankle issues, another overrated player but at least he's younger and can be shaped into a better all around basketball player. Regardless, GS will get much better offers than what we got.

First, I am pretty sure Ellis wouldn't help to win anything.
He could help selling tickets, that's all.

If he comes, Joe has to go. We can't run a team with both players, and they would cost too much.
GS doesn't want Joe, and the only team who could trade for him are team like NY, ORL...

Too late.

Monta, Udoh, and Kwame were sent to the Bucks for Bogut and Jax.

Bucks just got better considering Bogut is never around when you need him anyway.

"Bucks and Warriors have agreed in principle on trade to send Bogut and Jackson to Warriors for Ellis, Udoh and Brown, league source tells Y!"

Wow.
A) Bogut's value is so high you can get rid of S-Jax.
B) Monta's seen as a loser

idk what to make of it...
