What is going to do Corbin with Bell & Watson?

Post#1 » by FJS » Fri Mar 23, 2012 8:47 pm

Watson is dressed, but seems like is still injuried and Bell it's not with the team.
It's pretty obvious right now we don't need them.
Corbin will put them another time as the starting SG and the sub PG or Burks and Tinsley will continue enjoying their deserved playing time???

Personally I still feel we are as good with Watson as the primary back up. He is a totally different type of player than Tinsley, but has also been very effective for us. He tends to push the ball alot which I think better suits our young guys...while Tinsley is awesome in half court sets...which has also been effective, but in a different way. It has allowed Favors and Kanter to show us their low post games on a more consistent basis

Bell, on the other hand, should find himself at the end of the bench.

IMHO Corbin shouldn't mess currrent rotation... If you have been watching the Jazz for as long as I am, you just know there are several things happening right now that Utah just lacked for so many seasons...

I've been watching for a long time too and I think Watson just adds to the way we're playing.

I agree. Tinsley has been at times our best PG out there, with Harris playing very good of late. Watson outshone Harris when he STUNK. Whether or not Tinsley or Watson is better to me doesn't matter, our current rotation is winning, don't mess with that. Give Watson opportunities when both Harris and Tinsley can't get it done.

interesting article this morning about watson and his situation...

http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/blogsjazzn ... s.html.csp

Watson said he understands Corbin's decision and will continue to fully support the team, since the Jazz are rolling and it's tough to run a three-point guard rotation. But with Corbin's move coming 10 days after the trade deadline and Watson under contract through 2012-13, the veteran acknowledged it's bad timing for his career.

"It's a business decision on both ends," Watson said. "I'll do my best to stay ready, stay professional. But also consult with my agent and see what's next."

He added: "I don't know if you can win your spot back. It's not like it's practice time or it's game time or minutes played. I think it's a coach's decision, and more power to him."

He is a great glue guy... but he has not great playmaking abilities, nor he can score.
I rather when Jamaal plays, so if he wants to go out, i'm fine. Farewell, my friend.

He's probably feeling pretty under-appreciated, and I can see why. Tinsley has been great, but you can't credit him with all of the success we're having. I think Raja being out has been the big helper. I don't know...He needs to get some minutes - he's better than Tinsley in alot of ways

Maybe he should wait a few days to see what the minutes actually are. He said all of this "I better talk to my agent" crap prior to the first game he was even ready to come back.

Just not very professional of him, and that's a shame, because professionalism is a quality I thought he possessed in ample amount.
