Could Tinsley become an assistant coach?

I know this is early speculation  But I just love watching him on the sidelines talking to Kanter, it seems like he's really trying to help Enes realize how to position himself in the NBA to get an opportunity to get the ball. The Lakers game was a perfect example, in between plays Jamaal would come up and talk to him, pointing at different spots on the floor - telling him where he needed to be, why different plays worked, etc.

Jamal has a great mind for the game. I'd agree he has a future there. Watson is an excellent vet, but seems more instinctual, whereas Tinsley is cerebral.

Big Al does the same thing. Talking to Kanter and Favor during the game. Let's hire them both

I like former PGs as coaches bc PGs are usually the guys that understand the game the best as they need to know what they are suppose to be as well as where everyone else is suppose to be. I think Tinsely would be a very good coach.

He strikes me as the kind of guy who has a future in coaching. He seems like the kind of guy willing to pay his dues and look for an opportunity and that will serve him well.

he understands the game, but has some on and off the field troubles in the past... so it's too early

The entire time I've watched him on the bench this season, I've thought to myself that he'd make a great assistant coach. He is literally up on his feet yelling stuff out on every possession and he is always talking to the young guys when they are on the bench.

Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him make it as an assistant somewhere down the road.
