Beas strikes me as a guy who is just pretty happy by default. He'll be happy wherever he goes. Good for him. I'll be happy to root for him against any team but the Wolves, especially if he ever figures out how to put together a complete skill set.

I'd really like to have him back, with how frustrating he is...he's turned into one of my favorite players, mostly because of his personality.

Yeah, I agree. I'd like to see him back with the team. People can say that he is just trying to say the right things, but I do think he enjoys this team. He adds personality to the team. Hopefully, with a good offseason working with the coaching staff, he could add more on the court too.

I don't think that he enjoys playing limited minutes. I think he just behaves well for a few reasons and when the time comes we weighs his options and does what's best for his future career.

I'm not saying he will choose to stay just because he likes the team. Obviously playing time, money, etc will all be in the forefront of his decision. I was just saying I would like him back. I will totally understand when he takes more money to go somewhere else and play more.

I agree with most posters. Frustrating player at times, but personality and potential wise, I want him to stay a Wolf (at the right price that is).
Just out of curiosity, so Martell's contract is a team option for this next year (at ~6 million I think). Would you opt to let Martell walk and sign Beas to a contract at about 3 years 5-6 million per OR let Beasley walk, match Martell's option, OR let them both walk and hope for couple a wing free agents?
It is going to be an interesting offseason with the couple expiring contracts and decisions Kahn is going to have to make. Based on my rough estimates, it seems that if Brad Miller opts out and we let AR15 walk (which cover Love's raise), we should have around 10-11 million in cap (basically Martell and Beasley's salaries are the question) plus any cap increase.

That is basically the conclusion I came too. So the question is what do you do with 10 million? Do you sign any of those guys or do you just go swinging in free agency?

Its not an option. His contract is just mostly unguaranteed.

I believe we could decline our option (or whatever it's called), pay him the partially guaranteed money, and then sign him to a smaller contract. But I'm not sure.

I found this on storytellerscontracts.com (best place for nba salaries imo). If we waive him then I don't think we can offer him another contract.

I see Webster coming back before Beasley. Beas will start somewhere else for sure. No way will any agent let him sign on as a bench player. Not gonna happen.
