Big Game thread (LAL/CHI/MEM/MIA)

Post#1 » by CKRT » Thu Mar 29, 2012 8:53 pm

Since we don't get a lot of traffic a bunch of threads with 6-7 posts seems pointless. We always come out for the big games like this stretch of games, might as well have a big thread for it, no?

OKC@LAL starts at 9:30 central.

Hopefully Fisher brings his A-game because Kobe and crew are going to be playing extra hard tonight!

I'm hoping to go 4-0 during this stretch :D

Hopefully we do regress during one of them and lose because of it. We need to be beat handily so they know it doesn't work.

Chicago should beat us. Great defense tends to beat iso-ball.

This team has surprised me before though

Yeah, I don't think we have a great chance against Chicago unless we move the ball like we did against the Heat and all their bigs miss defensive rotations. :(

Bullshtt, we will beat Chicago!

1. We are at home
2. They dont have their best player
3. We need this W in order to stand a realistic chance of finishing with the best record in the league.
4. KD is due for a huge performance ala 40 points on 14/21 shooting
Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we are here we might as well dance!

Great game today. Defensively we challenged every single shot they put up. Offensively we make smart decisions with the ball and were unselfish. On the boards we werent great, but we didn't get dominated there which I was worried about.

All around you couldn't have asked for a better performance from them.

edit: looking at the boxscore, we did get dominated on the boards, but it didn't matter much because we didn't turn the ball over.

If these 2 teams meet again in the playoffs we need to do a better job keeping them off the boards, they had 18 offensive rebounds and we only missed 38 shots. That's almost a 50% off rebound rate. We will lose if that happens again.

Westbrook got the dunk of the year and we destroyed the Bulls. Did not see either of those coming, but I will gladly take both of them

Can't wait for tomorrow night! Hope our ball movement is as crisp as last time.
