BREAKING: Howard has herniated disk out 10-15 days

After consulting with a doctor in Los Angeles on Friday, sources tell RealGM that Dwight Howard has been diagnosed with a herniated disc.

Howard has been advised to cease all basketball-related activities for the next 10 to 15 days as playing could further extend the injury.

Howard would miss the remainder of the regular season if he follows that advice, but it has not been determined if he will attempt to play through the injury.

Howard first started experiencing pain in the Dallas game on March 30th.

The Magic currently have a 34-25 record and are 1-5 without Howard in the lineup. Orlando is currently the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.

This whole thing reeks of Vince Carter on his way out of Toronto, just saying.

I guess Glen Davis will really have to step it up now.

baron was out for months with a herniated disc, there is no way he's going to be out for only 10-15 days

two different body types by miles

and Orlando is in some deep trouble. They could drop very low in seeding. But I don't think they'd miss the playoffs.

Looks like the Bobcats won't end up with the record for worst record ever. And it looks like the Magic should be really worried about falling to the 7th or 8th seed.

If this happens, Knicks will spank the pacers in the first round.

Crazy. Could make a first round series in the east super interesting if Howard is back in time.

I bet he wouldn't have any back injuries if he was traded to the team he wanted to go to.

Philly just needs to worry about holding the Bucks off. They're not gonna sniff the 6th seed.

he wanted to be with the magic thats why he signed on for another year. the magic were about to trade him to one of his preferred teams before he blinked and signed on. my guess is hes either really hurt, go figure, or hes tanking so stan will for sure be fired. if the magic end the season 1-7 and miss the playoffs or make them and get ousted easily in the first round it will make it so much easier to fire svg and otis
