I want the Lakers to lose this series, but my rec league might get cancelled if that happens as a resident near the L.A. area.

I think we've already seen what both teams are made of. The outcome of game 7 isn't going to change that.

The reason the Lakers are losing is because of the lack of Laker Flags on cars in the So cal area.

Except one team has been without a key piece the entire series that returns for game 7. We'll see what the real Lakers look like Saturday. Doesn't guarantee a win by any stretch due to how well the Nuggets have played, but clearly the Lakers are a better team with Metta starting.

The impact of MWP's absence is really magnified, both by how well he's been playing the last few weeks and also by how terrible Barnes and Ebanks have been in this series. If Metta hadn't been out, the Lakers would probably have swept Denver and gone into the OKC series with a completely different aura around them.

loooks like Karl understands the impact of MWP's return

http://www.denverpost.com/kiszla/ci_206 ... -peace-out

"You could be writing about (World Peace) being the wild card and maybe the savior of the team. And should he have that right, to be honest with you?" Karl said Friday.

MWP was suspended for the Lakers' final regular-season game and the first half dozen games of the playoffs. "Why did they give him a seven-game suspension? Why did they not get him out for the first round?" Karl said. "Why seven? Why's that the magic number?"

Karl believes World Peace deserved more severe punishment, suggesting the Lakers' defensive specialist should have been banned from the opening round of the playoffs this spring and seven additional games at the outset of the next regular season.
