kevin or nene? who should start at center next yr?

Post#1 » by cleek+wall » Tue May 15, 2012 6:33 pm

Most centers in this league are either lazy (too used to coast thanks to their physical tools from a young age), injury-prone (due to their size), or technically inept (once again they didn’t need to work on their fundamentals because of their size). Kevin is smaller but seems to work hard to make up for this, is strong as a bull with long arms, and shows good technical prowess for someone who started basketball only recently .

I can see kevin becoming an all star. If he works on his rebounding. dude is a legit 18-10-2 block pe r game center. and nene is one hell of a backup center to have. And if we get beal? we going to be the next 2004 pistons team. :D

Wiz should start Wall at center. His quickness would be a huge advantage and he finishes well around the basket.

Nene can play PF, they should both start imo. My only concern is that while Booker is offensively competent coming off the bench, Jan would have to improve considerably to make the 2nd unit effective down low.

IBTL

Seriously though i wouldn't be surprised to see them both start with Nene at the 4.

cleek+wall,

You're new around here so you might not be used to how we do things.

Here on the Wizards board, we have a tradition of trying to minimize the clutter of redundant and unnecessary topics. If you compare our board to the others, you'll see that we tend to keep about 20-30 threads active for 20, 40, even 100 pages. Not only does it keep the board uncluttered, but it allows for revisiting of older conversations because they're much easier to find. On other boards, there is no history. If you weren't around for a conversation, you missed it and you must bore everyone by rehashing a new thread to discuss the same topic.

Our method is a bit harder for newbies because they haven't been around to recall what has already been discussed. But once you've been around for a while, you'll learn to appreciate it. For now, I suggest you participate in existing threads but try to restrain yourself from starting new ones. Chances are, it's already been discussed.

With respect to the topic of your original post, we already have a Projected Depth Chart thread. We also have a Kevin Seraphin Thread and a Nene thread. All three threads are within the top 2 pages of the Wizards home board.

I'm going to lock this thread.
