They can as long as they played on your team last year (and not midseason).

The Bobcats I think have 2 options to trade down and stay in top 5.

To Cleveland
-#2

To Charlotte
-#4
-#24
-#34
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To Sacramento
-#2
-Tyrus Thomas (3 years left)

To Charlotte
-#5
-Francisco Garcia (1 year left plus TO)
-Hassan Whiteside (*they can amnesty DeSanga Diop*)

I like that 2 for 4, 24, 34. If Cleaveland would actually do that I doubt there is a bobcats fan alive that would say no.

Who are you targeting at 2 for clarification?

That's actually solid...

T'Wolves have their chose of SGs/SFs.. Beal vs MKG vs Barnes vs Lamb.
Bobcats get last years #2 pick, who still has star potential, and #18 that they could use on Ross, Teague, Leonard, Waiters, or a fallen player.

Bobcats:
Walker-Henderson-Williams-Tyrus/#18?-Biyombo/Mullens

not the best lineup, but very young.

I wouldn't do that for the Wolves, as an even swap Williams for MKG is something I would consider with filler for salary. Otherwise, I don't see anyone in this draft worth Williams as a prospect.

Problem is... Williams is a PF, and is behind KLOVE... who plays 39 MPG. In the small amount of time that Derrick Williams played SF, he looked pretty crappy. If you can trade Derrick for a legit SF or SG, which the T'Wolves need.

Rubio - Beal - Johnson- Love - Pekovic
Rubio - Johnson - MKG - Love - Pekovic
Rubio - Johnson - Barnes- Love - Pekovic

or...
Rubio - Webster - Johnson - Love - Pekovic
with Derrick Williams coming off the bench for 20 mpg.

I agree Williams may just need to be moved to help the Wolves overall. Not sure they want another lotto pick with the team they have now, perhaps a 4th 5th year player would help bring them together better. But it depends on the personality I spose.

But really, Williams didnt do too much to justify his selection at #2, so not terrible to trade him for another crack at a #2, this time with position of need focus. MKG could be great for the Wolves, I can see him being able to play SG in NBA (not convinced hes big enuff for SF as best position) and the wolves would have the luxury of testing him out at either spot since they are both weak points for an otherwise solid team.

Sure, my point was I wouldn't include a pick too. If we are looking for a better fit, and maybe even a downgrade on potential, then we shouldn't include a pick as well.

I don't want to touch Lee's contract even if you are taking Tyrus.

To Cleveland
-#2

To Charlotte
-#4
-#24
-#34

This interests me. We'd still get one of Beal, MKG, Robinson and have 24, 31, 34 to package and potential move up with.

I think we should consider dealing with Portland for their 6 and 11.

Blazers don't have a GM yet but I see no way they package picks 6 and 11 for #2 in this draft. After Davis there are about 5-6 prospects that will grade out very similar so don't see the value to give up pick 11 to move up 4 spots. Heck in this draft pick 11 could potentially turn out better than the 2nd pick.

No it is not a bad offer, but I think we could do better. T-Rob at least would have a position as opposed to Williams who is a classic tweener. #18 is not likely to produce an impact player. That offer of 4, 24, and 34 in particular is much better.

I honestly think it depends on how the pre-draft workouts go. if portland likes a guy, then I can see them pulling the trigger. they got burned when they traded down from #3 to #6, and killed when they traded up from #4 to #2...

I'd love for GS to get our hands on MKG, but I don't think we're in a position to make a fair offer.

Best I can do for you is Klay + #7 + #30 or #36 for #2 (and I'm not even sure I'd do that) but I don't think that's enough for Charlotte to consider dropping that far down.
