Kyle Drabek has been placed on 15-day DL with UCL sprain in elbow; no word on when he will return.

‏@jonmorosi
Brett Cecil will make his season debut with the #BlueJays on Sunday vs. Phillies.

Fairservice had a post about this over at DJF- it seems like Cecil's worked a ton on sequencing and developing a deceptive delivery, because his stuff is essentially garbage.

Sunday? The probable was Alvarez last I checked. What a brutal pitcher to throw out there for what's going to be a relatively large crowd.

Better than having to watch Drabek fail to throw strikes for like his 10th consecutive start. Cecil can at least do that, he's an upgrade on him.

Drabek has been a complete failure of a prospect. My goodness.

107/110 career BB/K ratio is nuts. Sad to see that he was the cornerstone of our Roy Halladay haul.

Jays again unable to produce results.

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Visit to Dr. Andrews for Drabek is to confirm tear. If it's torn, that means Tommy John surgery again.

Feels like we have just seen the last of Kyle Drabek, hopefully wrong, but 2 Tommy John Surgeries along with huge command issues to begin with...

Just talked to Drabek, still no pain, still feels strong, but will go see Dr. Andrews for a second opinion shortly. #Bluejays #jays

Kyle Drabek's MRI showed his Tommy John ligament is torn. Not 100% torn, but there's a tear. TJ surgery a real possibility. #Bluejays #jays
