My 1st round Mock Draft

Post#1 » by bucksfan1234 » Tue Jun 19, 2012 10:43 pm

Here is what i think should happen and why

1.New Orleans- Anthony Davis
obviously
2.Charlotte- Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
He is the 2nd best player in my opinion and Charlotte could use help at just about any position
3.Washington- Andre Drummond
They have a PG for the future so if Drummond works out they could have a solid inside out combo
4.Cleveland- Bradley Beal
A Beal and Irving backcourt can be scary good and I think they need more help on the wings than in the front court. I like Beal over Barnes here.
5.Sacramento- Harrison Barnes
The Kings need a wing player and Barnes fits perfectly and gives them a nice young core
6.Portland-Thomas Robinson
Although they are looking more for a center I like a Aldridge and Robinson front court
7.Golden State-Perry Jones
He has so much potential and I think Golden State bites first. They have a back court set but could use forwards.
8.Toronto-Damian Lillard
They need and want a PG and Lillard is the best in the class
9.Detroit- Meyers Leonard
They need a Center and Leonard appears to be the top center
10.New Orleans-Terrence Jones
He has the versatility of playing either forward spot and the Hornets could use help at both. He is also a former teammate of Davis which can either be a good or bad thing.
11.Portland- Kendall Marshall
They already took a big so they are going to want to take a PG. Marshall is the best PG available so Portland takes him
12.Milwaukee- Jeremy Lamb
I think the bucks should take the bpa and Lamb is that
13.Phoenix- Dion Waiters
They need guards and Waiters may have the versatility to play either spot
14.Houston- Tyler Zeller
They need a center and although he doesn't have star potential I think he will be a solid NBA center
15.Philadelphia- Jared Sullinger
Not a fan but Philly could use him in the same way they did Brand
16.Houston-Austin Rivers
Austin Rivers is the bpa and would be a great get at 16
17.Dallas-John Henson
Dallas could use help in the front court so they take a long shot blocker
18.Minnesota-Arnett Moultrie
They add more front court depth
19.Orlando- Terrence Ross
Orlando needs more offensive talent and he is the best offensive player left
20.Denver-Moe Harkless
He has a lot of potential and would be a good fit off the bench for Denver
21.Boston-Fab Melo
They need a center and Melo may be able to step in right away
22.Boston-Quincy Miller
Even if Allen and Garnett do return they need to add more bench depth and look to the future and Miller could end up being a star
23.Atlanta-Royce White
Another player who could end up being a bust but has potential and the Hawks need a good forward
24.Cleveland-Festus Ezeli
They need a center and it may be a reach but Ezeli will be a good backup center
25.Memphis-John Jenkins
If Mayo leaves he will replace him
26.Indiana-Jeff Taylor
They take a player who can come in and play immediately
27.Miami-Andrew Nicholsen
They add a big man
28.Oklahoma City-Marquis Teague
They draft a backup point guard
29.Chicago-Tony Wroten
Could be the biggest steal of the draft and Wroten could help at either guard spot
30.Golden State-Doron Lamb
He fits in perfectly as the 3rd guard off the bench

No chance Wolves pass on Ross (or a similar caliber wing) for a PF. They have Love and Williams right now. Beasley and Randolph are both restricted free agents. They are fine at that position. They don't have an average starter at either SG/SF, which they will address if stay at #18.

I don't really like Drummond at #3, he is too big of a risk not to mention passing up Barnes, Beal & Robinson.

Robinson to Portland is odd as well with LMA already in tow, but if he is still available I suppose.

Lastly, Ezeli seemed like a reach, I think Jeff Taylor would be a better fit.

I don't think the W's would take Perry Jones III, we already went through the Anthony Randolph experience once.

If these were our options, I think we'd just reach and pick Sullinger or Terrence Jones, or trade down/out of the 7 slot.
