Draft Day Speculation andd Ideas (Updated:Mo Williams?)

Post#1 » by Spottieottie » Thu Jun 28, 2012 3:59 pm

DeJuan Blair is now available according to tweets.

Use our TPE on him thereby making Jefferson or Sap more expendable?

Sorry we don't have a generic trade idea thread.

He's worse defensively than Al and Millsap and has none of the offense of those two.

Right but I imagine he would just be a sub.. he would take Favors old minutes and Favors would take the minutes from the one we traded.

He wouldn't be in the league if those two statements were both true!!

Well, he was the 5th big man on the Spurs last year, so...

The Spurs are possibly the deepest team in the league. As much as I like Jefferson, there are very few big men in the league who are worse defenders. Since I agree that Blair isn't that good offensively, surely his defense is better than Al's.

Expend assets to acquire an average and undersized player at a position which is already log-jammed? It would seem that one of Sap or Jefferson is already expendable with no need to trade for a replacement.

And you are right OP, this trade is probably not thread worthy, but I do like the idea of a general trade thread. Perhaps you could edit the title of this one?

Wow, so basically if Mo wants to come play for the Jazz, we have him. If he doesn't, no trade.

This will either do wonders for morale or be damaging to the collective Utah desirability self-esteem factor

The MoWill trade w/o more moves would effectively take Jazz out of free agency w/ only ability to add player with MLE for 4 years and $21.5m

Mo is basically an $8.5m expiring contract. He won't hurt our long term plans. He gives us energy and scoring.

Did you have any big free agent plans this year seejaydeja? Mo's about as good or better than anyone we would sign anyway

Wasn't complaining. Just reposting a random tweet I saw. I thought it was relevant info to the discussion.

This would be another pointless and mediocrit move by KOC. He needs to be more creative and take a risk. Come on KOC, take a plunge in your GM career.

My hope would be that they would get Mo only to turn around and deal Harris to move into the first round. Or try and pry the 17th pick from dallas if mo signs off on it soon

Not being risky isn't as fun but it has served him well over the years.

I like MO WILL a lot, but it only makes sense if we deal Harris, right?

You haters are crazy... that deal is freaking amazing for the Jazz.

Come home, Mo.
