NY Yanks (48-30) @ Tuberculosis Rays (41-38): KO Punch?

Post#1 » by Dr. Detfink » Sun Jul 1, 2012 11:20 pm

How different the Rays look without Evan Longoria. With him, the Rays look like world beaters. Without him, they look no different than a .500 club and a non-contender if not for the starting pitching.

The Yanks are hurting and with Phelps and Garcia going up against Moore and Price...I think if the Yanks don't get swept that team from Boston doesn't loom quite as large but the shadow is growing.

Match ups:

Moore vs Garcia: Give us all ya got Freddy...

Shields vs Nova: Two work horses

Price vs Phelps: This kid Phelps could be a significant help while Pettitte and CC heals.

Anyone wonder why Cash hasn't called up Banuelos for the pen? Getting through the 7th and 8th has been murderous on my heart.

Teixiera is like a reverse-Giambi.

Time for some pen help...especially when you are depleted two inning horses.

And Robertson is not a 9th inning guy. Now, it reminds me of all the times Torre wasted no time wearing out his pen...and how many times Mo answered.

Not a good outing for Nova. 9th straight loss in TB. Do I see 10?

Good job, "Boom" Logan. And Yanks offense struggles.
