Welcome back - Dragic signed to 4 year / $34M contract

Post#1 » by Herman4MVP » Thu Jul 5, 2012 5:10 am

Wojnarowski: As ESPN reported, Goran Dragic agreed to a 4 year, $34M deal with the Suns. Rockets decided that was "too rich" and let him go, source says.

I like it.
Prediction for this season: Spurs beat Heat 4:2 in the finals (the revenge of Pop)
I don't like it, but it is highly possible this season with IND and OKC struggling

Didn't you guys just draft Kendall Marshall? How is this going to work out?

Not hating, just... baffled?

Kendall Marshall is going to come off the bench. The Suns don't want him to start.

Never thought I would say that anytime soon, but hey - good job from our FO so far!
Dallas, Toronto, Houston - no, he is coming back to Phoenix :D

Beasley and Dragic - come on New Orleans - just give us Eric Gordon and we can move on :)

I really like this move. We have both point positions secured (both young) but still wont be good enough to escape the lottery; this is a perfect 1st step to rebuild in my eyes.

I'm just crossing my fingers hoping that the Hornets match Gordons offer.

Ending up with Dragic, Gordon, Beasley, Marshall and 4 picks would be an amazing off season. If we don't end up with Gordon, I'd like to see us go after OJ Mayo.

"Goran Dragic contract tweak: it's a 4-year, $30M deal with potential to be $34M from annual $1M All-Star bonuses. 4th year is player option."

I really like Dragic, but what pissed me off is that this new front office traded him along with a pick for Brooks a year and a half ago. He could have been Nash's backup and his contract would be less if they would have never done this and kept the pick too. Assets are important in this game and they got that in the LA trade. I just wonder if we hamper Marshalls progression with this signing? But hey, we now have three lefties on this team now! :D
