Going online now: Suns move quickly after Steve Nash trade and strike four-year deal with Goran Dragic worth $34 million, sources tell ESPN

Lin's a restricted free agent, and Knicks are poised to match an offer sheet. Rockets extended an offer tonight and Lin's thinking it over.

Damn, this annoys me. 34M for 4 years is 8.5 average; not even the 10M per year that he was reportedly asking for...and I much prefer him to Lin (who is prob gonna get matched anyway)..

How much more is that than what we offered?

If Lin gets matched time to break out the old Aaron Brooks jerseys?

34M for 4 years. 8.5M per year.

It was reported the Dragic's expectation and Rockets' offer is far apart. What is Rockets' offer then? 28M for 4 years or 7M per year?

Goran Dragic contract tweak: it's a 4-year, $30M deal with potential to be $34M from annual $1M All-Star bonuses. 4th year is player option.

wow...this is what we offered Lin; whom reportedly might not even take our offer.

So Dragic gets his 10 mil per year in the end.

Wasn't it reported he was seeking a contract that started at 10M?

But regardless, that's a pretty good contract. Suns got some nice deals on him and Beasley.

I think the Suns simply made a better deal and sometimes those little incentives really tip the scale. Hard to blame Dragic and I wish him the best in Phoenix.

Regarding Lin, don't be surprised if he decides to stay with the Knicks. That team gave him everything that he ever dreamed of. He has family members in NY and obviously he's comfortable playing in that system. I don't see a whole lot of reasons to come to Houston, unless if he decides to take more money.

Seem like Lin did not accept the offer from Rockets. So no Dragic and no Lin.

Back to Lowry....

After Morey actively shopping Lowry during draft days, does he expect Lowry to come back and perform as if nothing happen?

Yep, that's going to be a major challenge. It's a messy situation, but we just have to hope that Lowry doesn't take it personally. Otherwise, we really need to break up our core (I mean our PFs) and start shopping for a PG. Lowry can still ask to be traded, and this team could end up with no starting PG.

If we can't get Lin, there's gonna be a lot of pressure on Morey.

So drastically overpay for Lin but not slightly overpay for Dragic? Annoyed! Knicks save us! Please!

So basically the Rockets lost Dragic for nothing and gave a big FU to Lowry... sucks.

It's not the end of the world guys. I much prefer Kyle lowry than Dragic as a STARTER. Why? Lowry is a tough SOB and played all star level before his injury. I hope we can extend him and we dont lose him for nothing like we did dragic. Dragic, he plays well during mid to end season not so much in the beginning.

Plus we have the dreadlocks guy as a 3rd pg. And Shaun Livingston is a good backup PG if his injury problems are over.

Dragic is good but he's not a winner. Plus he's not a leader. He's more like a kid who;s skillful but doesn't make other players better motivational wise. Lowry is the teams vocal leader, and he lays his body on the line to win games. I wouldn't feel its right if we pay dragic more than lowry.

I doubt Dragic would make suns much better. Their loss of Nash is a tremendous lost. And the reason dragic did well for rockets, we had decent role players who can make shots.

If dragic was a winner, he would fight to stay with the Rockets. He knew he'd get difficulty getting a starting job in Rockets against Lowry. Why go to Suns? Cuz he can get starting position, and become a mediocre bball team. Not a winner in my book.

Meh. Hating this off-season so far. First we trade my favourite Rocket Budinger, now we let go of Dragic even though he had a very reasonable contract. Really don't see any direction on this team, just wildly offering guys contracts left and right for seemingly no rhyme or reason. Not happy at all.
