RT @ChrisVernonShow: SCOOP: Grizzlies will sign Darrell Arthur to 2 yr deal (w/ 3rd yr option) -deal worth $9-10 mil total

Great value for Arthur. He was well on his way to getting a $5-6M deal after his 2010-11 season. Hopefully, he can get back to his old self after the injury. He had his best season after a season ending injury, so I'm hoping this will be a repeat of that.

Decent contract. I just this guy is able to remain healthy and be able to produce well for the Grizz off the bench.

BTW, I noticed Vernon has left 730. He will look to debut his new show on Monday on 92.9FM. What was the reason?

One station was a combination of WKRP in Cincinnati, "News Radio", and Martin without the stability.

Very happy for Arthur. Glad a fair deal could be worked out.

I hate that I'll miss Vernon on the drive home, but I'll be able to listen some at lunch. That said, the reception was next to nothing as dark-child noted.

Today was the first time I've heard Verno in a min. Usually I'm on the job when he's on the air. Just happened to catch some of the air time b/c I was off. More power to Verno.

If DA bounces back as expected, we have an incredibly deep front court (Gasol/Zbo/Gay, Speights/DA/QPon and Cunningham). Should we fail to sign a quality shooter/guard before the season starts, you have to think we'll move one of our bigs to acquire a guard before the deadline - or maybe even just to balance out the roster.

we only have 11 on the roster so essentially you have Droten in Lester Hudson's spot and then Gilbert, Haddadi's spots are open for the taking.

I never thought of it this way but does the presence of DA + an increased role by one of either pargo/selby/droten/??? (FA to be signed) make up for the loss of OJ Mayo?

It depends on how much work they put into the offseason and how it transfers to the hardwood that determines how much difference it makes up for the loss of OJ.
