Houston just released newly acquired 7'1" center Jerome Jordan, 25, as a prelude to signing 7'0" Omer Asik.
Clippers should gobble Jerome Jordan up! This guy is a mobile 7'1" 244 lbs. with a 7'5" wingspan and 9'5" standing reach. More importantly, he can play. He's more skilled than DJ and Hollins on offense and could be equally as good on defense.
Knicks drafted him in the second round in June 2010.
Played overseas in 2010-2011.
Knicks traded him to Houston for Marcus Camby in July 2012.
Houston releases him one week later so they they can sign Omer Asik.
Give the guy a chance, Clippers.

Yup we either need to sign him or sign Andersen while giving Hollins only garbage time minutes...

Re: Jerome Jordan please
Can we get him for a Million per season(2 years?)
I wouldn't mind having 2 --7fters + DJ
Wow, w/out a GM, this team looks like it can/will compete in the WEST

Re: Jerome Jordan please
I actually have no issues with this, seems like an okay idea. He only played 8 games in the D-League and 21 games/5.1 MPG in the NBA, so I can't really gauge anything about him. He's hit 8/10 FT in the NBA, hit 69.6% in college, and 86.7% in the D-League.
He averaged 5 fouls/36 in the NBA, and 4.3/36 in D-League. Most of his NBA per 36 numbers are useless because he's playing 5 MPG.
DLeague: 18.6 pts / 8.0 Rebs / 2.5 blks / 1.6 to's / .554 FG%
In Euro Cup play he put up: 11.8 pts / 7.3 Rebs / 1.3 blks / 2.5 to's / .559 FG% in 4 games and 24.8 MPG
In Adriatic's league play he put up: 12.0 pts / 5.1 rebs / 0.6 blks / 1.5 to's / .625 FG% in 11 games and 21.2 MPG

Basically calling him a poor mans Ryan Hollins, that isn't good news if that refers to rebounding and defense also. His best case on their site does say Theo Ratliff. His shot booking and rebounding on Adriatic was uninspiring though.DraftExpress: Zeke Marshall: best case Ryan Hollins, worst case Jerome Jordan? Somewhere in there. Giving Miss St's bigs problems. Challenging everything.

Re: Jerome Jordan please
Jordan is a mobile but lanky center. Was not really able to hold his ground in the paint consistently but does have a real long wingspan and can get up and down the court well. Showed some glimpses of being able to hit the 10-12 footer and a drop hook...but no idea if he can be consistent with either. Has had his consistency and toughness questionned since college, was wht the Knicks sent him overseas, to try to get some toughness in him. He may be marginally better than Hollins offensively but Hollins is a much tougher and stronger player right now.
