Glock vs Odom Johnson. Who you got?

Post#1 » by TarktheShark » Wed Aug 15, 2012 6:34 am

no way we keep both players...Both players are undersized 2guards who don't have certain contracts

Glock vs Odom who you got?

Glock
pros
great shooter
nice floater

cons
really undersized
Mike Brown don't like him
not really a point guard
defense
can't always create

Odom Johnson
pros
suppose good defender
suppose to be a decent shooter

cons
offense
didnt impress in Summer League
can't create offense
no really a point
undersized

Morris has a certain contract, and Sacre true 7'0 footer big body could be used.. So the last spot more then likely will come down to one of these two

Goudelock needs to learn how to defend, if he can do that I really want him to stay but I like DJOs toughness and the fact that he's one hell of an athlete.....I'd be happy with whichever one we kept but unhappy that the other one is gone lol

DJO, Goudelock is on a non guaranteed deal and Mike Brown won't play him.

Glock easily. I have no idea why MB doesn't play him and why everyone on this board doesn't like him. He was our ONLY consistent bench player on the team last year, yet he gets so little minutes. I would be fine with G-Lock and Meeks getting all the backup minutes at our guard spots. Glock's defense isn't much worse than Blake's anyways, if not equal.

We don't need him to create. We just need someone who can catch and shoot. In that case Glock >>>>>> DJO

In that case Glock won't see the floor with meeks here. Neither of these guys will contribute much to this years team, but in the case either of them are needed DJO brings more to the table than goudelock

they both looked horrible in summer league, I'll wait and see for pre-season. I'd drop them both though for a more experienced player that can help now if possible

Odom and Goudelock similar two smallish 2 guards and the edge goes to Goudelock. The Lakers need a remedy for this position and the three a good wing player who is versatile and can play either position. Metta World Peace can be inconsisent and Ebanks has not developed a strong offensive game at this time. Jodie Meeks is two short to play at the three. Mitch has to continue working on a remedy and make adjustments to this roster. Mitch please do not roll out the red carpet just yet; you have do a good job so continue working on this roster.

I'd go with DJO. He has a lot of Arenas in a good way in his game. Never understood the love for Goudelock amongst LA fans. He isnt very good and his very shot happy. DJO could be a gem. Remember Monte Ellis and Arenas were once 2nd round guys.

Goudelock looked pretty bad in summer league but he was good in the season. At least good enough too bad Mike Brown didn't play him. It's hard to get into a consistent rhythm when you don't get consistent minutes. He put up 14 points against the Clippers.

That said there is literally gunna be no minutes. Duhon, Morris, Goudelock, Steve Blake, are all going to be fighting for minutes here.

Those four just seem like the last remaining stubborn belly fat on a body builder. I wish there was a way to package all four of them into a liposuction deal for a backup Arenas or something. lol.
