Post#1 » by TarktheShark » Fri Aug 17, 2012 7:51 pm

Bringing Back Ebanks and Hill was great

Bringing in Howard and Nash awesome
Meeks was ok great shooter young

I just kinda wish we would of brought in another player
someone like a Jarred Bayless or kept Ramon Sessions

There isn't a grade high enough for what he's done this off-season.
if he gets an A, it's on his Doctoral Thesis... While all other GM's are in High-School...

A-? Shun the non believer!!!
There are very few people in this league that have the capability to bring in a star from a rival (S&T) and trade for a center piece! He get an A+ in my book. Meeks is a good signing. As long as he hits the open three than he does his job. He is also young so he can learn a lot.

Anything short of A+ here is ridiculous. Mitch made the impossible possible and upgraded our weakest position in PG with Nash and got us the best center in the league. One of those moves alone should solidify the summer as a B/B+. We can't be too nit picky about the bench with our salary situation and only vet mins and a mmle to use. Oh, did I mention we got Jamison too?

You bring in Steve Nash and Dwight Howard without having to give up Pau Gasol and you get an A MINUS?!?!

how is is it A-? Even mitch said him self that he didn't think that Dwight Howard would get traded to the LA, or that he would be getting Dwight Howard, Jamison, re-sign Hill who will be a great player for us, and Meeks. I mean come on who had a better off-season than us.

He got Dwight without giving up Pau Gasol. He got Nash with draft picks and cash. Maybe should have gotten Lebron to get an A+.

Dumping Steve Blake and upgrading the back up point spot would of been nice like keeping Sessions
or signing a BETTER back up to Kobe who could also play the 3.... Great off season don't get me wrong

With the Lakers cap situation entering this summer, to acquire what they've acquired is basically a miracle.

This is like marking down a date with Kate Upton because you didn't like what color panties she was wearing. Never mind the fact you were lucky to see them in the first place...

A++

A better off season than I hoped for, compared to the rest of the league he's in a league of his own!

I give it C+ tops. I mean how could we not keep Bynum to back up Dwight and also Nash should be backing up CP3 not starting. I'm not even going to bring SF position up.... Where's LeBron?

A- ??? what the hell do you want him to do? bring back magic johnson out of retirement to get an A? shooot he deserves an A+ for the kind of wizardry he was able to pull off this off season.

When you set up a franchise like the Los Angeles Lakers so well, that you grab a top 5 impact player in the league entering his prime after Kobe leaves, you deserve an A.

steve nash and antawn jamison was just out of nowhere. An A+ is the least he deserves.

I agree but only if you give all the other NBA teams an F. That scale would make sense - other teams F, Lakers A-. Otherwise I just don't agree with the minus.

A MINUS!?!!

Dude, folks behind the computer think this stuff is waaay to easy, when in reality IT IS NOT!!

The league absolutely blindsided us with CP3, so theoretically we could be kobe, dwight and cp3. Now, not cryin over spilled milk next best available WAS NASH! And guess what?? We got him!! Then attempted a move for Dwight Howard that took tons of patience and drama. And guess what?? We got him too!!

Perfection? No, that was the best available to us this offseason. This stuff aint easy to do, extremely difficult to pull off these maneuvers . . . but damn it, MITCH GOT IT DONE! For that, A+

ps. Cap saving maneuvers thrown in there as well.

A- ? We got STEVE NASH and DWIGHT HOWARD for essentially Bynum, cap, and draft picks. Does he need to bring in LeBron or Durant too to get an A+ ?
