This has been my opinion for quite some time. Love Kosta's potential. only 23 years old. Ive said it before he's the next marcin gortat, which i think is mentioned in the article.

He showed signs of that potential last season....if Mozgov can develop into a Marc Gasol type and then you have Koufos as Marcin Gortat......Denver will be well set at the center position

Lol. Sarcasm much?
Look at the stats. Kosta is essentially 2 years ahead of Gortat.
Plus Javale is gonna be Hakim...

I think Coach GK will alternate minutes each game between KK and Mozzy depending on the opposition.
I see McGee averaging no more than 28 mpg (because of his asthma and the running style of Denver). That leaves 20 mins between 2 quality back-up Centres.
Unless one of KK or Mozzy is traded soon, I don't see either averaging anymore than 15-20 mpg for the season.

KK and Moz will both average 15MPG IMO. It is a sit or play(Start?) situation, or at least it was last year. Neither will play 82 games even if they are 100% healthy, but they will probably get all the extra C minutes when they do

I think you are right in some cases one will play, the other will not see the court in those games, but I think they may end up getting a few minutes at PF between the 2 of them as well. In most games I think they split up the 26-28 mpg available at center with each averaging around 15 mpg as some games one or the other will not play.
something like
Faried (30 mpg), Chandler (12), Koufos or Mozgov (6)
Mozgov or Koufos (20 mpg), McGee (28)

Lets assume that McGee has had a tremendous off-season working with The Dream and training with Steve Hess, and has a fantastic Training Camp and Pre-Season and gets the starting nod. I see either KK or Mozzy getting the left over minutes, not both playing 10-15 mins each game.
GK is gonna play fast ball this year, having KK or Mozzy at the 4 spot won't work (unless its needed against the Lakers). I think a 9 man rotation is set, with JHam, Fouriner getting scrub minutes.
The luxury of a deep team is that if any of our starting 5 sustain a serious injury, theres a great backup ready to slide to the starting 5.

Nuggets always play fast and Koufos and Mozgov are both good enough runners to keep up at the 4 for some minutes. Also even if McGee has a great training camp I doubt he gets much more then 28 mpg especially since he has asthma

Re: Kosta Koufos
My 20 team keeper fantasy league is in the middle of their draft and I was looking to take Koufous or Anthony Randolph in the 11th round, but your minutes situation is really crowded and scaring me off. This thread didn't make me feel any better. I was thinking since Birdman is gone you'd have 10 more minutes to give to Koufous? Koufous is actually very productive in his minutes played. I'd draft him if I thought he would get 20-25 minutes a game but no one seems to see that as possible. You guys got probably the deepest team in the league, fantasy killer though.

There is no way I would draft Randolph, with the rumors of his lack of work ethic in practice and the overall depth the Nuggets have, I doubt he sees many minutes especially to start the season.
As has been stated numerous times throughout this thread none of us really know the rotations that Karl may use, but outside of Faried and McGee I would not draft any of the Nuggets true bigs in a fantasy draft. If you need a PF you may want to look into Wilson Chandler, most of us are expecting him to get enough minutes at PF to qualify as a PF in fantasy.

Re: Kosta Koufos
I actually had Wilson Chandler. I traded him and Rodney Stucky, and an 11th rounder for Dino Gallinari, Kenneth Faried, and a 13 rounder. Pretty much killed on that trade I think. As you can see I'm all wrapped all up in Nuggets this year and will be following you guys. I got another 11th rounder back through another trade and I still might take Koufous depending on what's left on the board. I think there is a lot of potential as a 23 year old and he still puts up relevant numbers in a league that deep even if he only gets 16 minutes again. As many keepers as my league has (11 next year) I might take him on the potential alone. I'd hate to take someone like Camby who will be retired in 2 years and Koufous turn into Gortat in 2 years.
Randolph, who knows. He's burnt lots of fantasy players over the year. As an 11th rounder depending on what else was getting tempted if Koufous is off the board. The guy seems to have worlds of potential when you look at his PER and per minute averages. I really thought he might get 20 minutes this year for you guys and his game excel the way you run. Thanks for the heads up. What a waste of talent.
