Scott Skiles looks like he hasn't aged a day since then.
Of course, he looked 50 back then.

At 1:58, I'm pretty sure that's none other than the late Chuck Brown.
SUN, thanks!

Nice! A cool groove and some decent rap and moves by players and fans. Thanks for the memories.

Everybody reminiscing about the old days because the present sucks.

SUN, thanks for posting. This is great.
Is that Bruce Hornsby at 2:25 or so? I remember seeing him at some games in the 90's.

anybody wanna buy an autographed (I swear) red Cal Cheaney jersey?
I have one. And I'd be willing to let it go.

also have Webber jersey (IIRC) not autographed

The Cal Cheaney jersey actually has the illusion of making you lose your jump shot when you wear it.

I really liked the Bullets look, a bit before my time but they were pretty freakin' cool.

I owned a sweater, jacket and hat exactly identical to what they are wearing in the pictures above.

Then when I left home and moved across the country my mother donated and gave away most of the clothes and possessions I left behind.

Bitter does even begin to describe how I felt when she told me what she had done.

That squad would have DESTROYED the current Wizards training camp roster in a 7 game series.
4-0 sweep. Easily.
As far as the look, just like DC at the time, it was SIMPLE, AFFORDABLE & EFFECTIVE.
My how times have changed for the worse. Both DC and the Wizards. It all sucks now.

I agree. The fact is, Wizards basketball isn't as interesting anymore. it just seems so irrelevant to most of DC.

Most of DC has become irrelevant now too.
Aside from the monuments and the mall, it has already started to resemble EveryOtherCityUSA...

I am bumping this thread to remind all of you what a real professional basketball squad looks like.

C'mon, the beat is great and the video is a lot of fun, but that was a 21-61 squad . . . they were Mr. Softie on the court and they sucked. Not just Webber, Howard, Cheaney, but when you are talking soft you also have Rex Chapman, Kevin Duckworth, and Don McLean . . . not to mention the defense of Gheorghe Muresan and Scott Skiles. If the current squad ever gets it's starters back I hope to hell it's better than that.
Now if you want to go back to the BALTIMORE Bullets of 69, with Earl "Black Jesus" Monroe, Gus "Honeycombs" Johnson, Jack "Mr. Sweat Marks" Marin, and a big butt rookie named Wes Unseld . . . those were the days, lol. And Baltimore has always been grungier and more "real" than DC although I was born in Alexandria and grew up bleeding burgundy and gold like the rest of the town.
