Release Terrence Ross, he can actually shoot AND provide defense at the 2!!!

Need to see Ross more. He will make mistakes but it would be a mistake to make him rot on the bench.

Even if Ross isn't pound-for-pound as strong as Fields, he still does bring a lot more positives. Not to mention he actually finishes in transition. The starting line-up really needs a guy that can move off the ball and knock down the corner 3 when they work those angle screen-and-rolls for the kick out.

Don't know why he isn't getting much playing time but he's a decent shooting guard. His jumper and arch is smooth and he plays defense too.

He should have been our starter from day one. He's ready to contribute and his basket of intangibles > Fields imho.

He looks so casual when he's shooting under pressure as well. That shot is butter.

to all saying he should start: I love his tools, but he's not yet a good player. While I think he can become a good defender, right now he'll have (and has had) trouble not fouling or being a good team defender. Offensively, while he does have some ability, right now his best use would be a spot up shooter and based on what I've seen he does not agree. It's great when he takes a fadeaway and hits it or shoots a contested three and drills it, but those shots are unsustainable. At least Fields plays within himself (albiet, with considerable limitations in ability). I think a good 8 to 10 a game or more if we're up or down by a lot would be beneficial to both parties.

He should be the first wing off the bench with AA starting at the 3. Fields can just stay home with his girl.

You are joking. Even playing with one arm he is better for this team than Laundry Fields.

Watched some Drew League tape and our 2 shooting guards Demar and Ross are very slight. Demar has gotten bigger but it is clear why he plays the 2. It is also clear that Ross' even slighter frame means they are going slow with him. Landry while not guard talented has more bulk and he can defend small forwards. BC should live a little and move out Bargnani, Jose and spare part Linus Kleiza. Landry is perfect to be the back-up small forward. Anderson is another shooting guard and is pretty good so far. We are not a very beefy group, Lowry excluded. This needs to be improved. The suggestion of acquiring Millsap is one way. I'd rather have a strong power forward who has small forward skills like Derrick Williams who also happens to be young. But we have to get bulkier if we ever want to be a playoff team. This essentially is the biggest issue with Bargnani he is 7 ft tall big with zero post presence. Ross at least is a good defender and shooter.

With how Demar faced up against Thabo today, although the ideal line in the future would be:

Val
Bargs
DD
Ross
Lowry

DD simply does not have the body to keep up with lengthier, stronger guard/forwards. This offseason he has to bulk up to slowly make that transition to the SF and adjust to his new body to incorporate Ross as a piece moving forward unless we want him to be sort of a 6th man off the bench.

Ross showed promise of what he can do this game. His man-d was solid, he hasn't shown signs that he can create but he can certainly finish strong around the basket and of course, shoot the lights out. Casey's reluctancy to play him is mind boggling at this point because in one game, he's shown why he deserves minutes over Dominic McGuire, and having Calderon in place as the SG over him. Ross's lean frame is a bit of an issue though, he seems so scrawny but that can be worked on.

I think his motor is a bit of an issue he plays hard on D but on O he seems like a bit of a coaster
I don't know where his compete level is at.

The biggest problem is his body it looks like the body of an 8 year old boy funny thing is he's like
20 pounds more then Lamb. His Per 36 stats aren't bad right now like 15 5 and 2.

He has a good skillset once everything clicks he's gonna be real solid. He just needs to get stronger
and get some swagger but it doesn't seem like it's in his personalty.
