Player of the Game

Post#1 » by ATL Boy » Sat Nov 17, 2012 5:57 am

Alright guys before I do this I just want to say that if we keep having only 2 voters (1 counting myself) then I'll stop making these threads, if you guys don't vote then I'm just wasting my time by making these.

Previous players of the game:
Al Horford (2)
Josh Smith (1)

Notes: Horford had a double double (20 pts and 10 rebounds) and was a big part of the big 3rd quarter; Korver went off tonight shooting 5-5 from 3 and 7-9 from the field, he also had a game high 22 points, he also had 7 rebounds; Josh finally shot over 50% because wasn't taking the stupid outside shots, he tallied 19 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 blocks; and Lou had 21 off the bench to lead our second unit, he shot 5-8 and 9-11 from the free throw line. The reason Lou is on this list instead of Teague is because Teague had 5 turnovers to Lou's 0, Lou had more assists (5 to Jeff's 3) and more rebounds (4 to Jeff's 2)

Just missed the cut:
Jeff Teague: 15 points (13 in the first quarter) on 7-10 shooting
Zaza Pachulia: 7 rebounds and 4 assists

What I'd like to see: I'd like to see Teague play more than 19 minutes!!! 19!!! And I'd like for Jenkins to get more than 1 garbage time minute

Josh's defense and passing were big. Al finished big but was pretty bad for the rest of the game.

Can I give Drew the Goat of the game even though we won?

Going with Korver as this might be his only shot.

He's on fire right now, shooting 77% from the field tonight. (Plus 7 rebs).

Props to Josh for MUCH better shot selection and shooting over 50% from the field.

And a shout out to ATL Boy for consistently getting these up. Hawks fandom is at a possible all time low right now around here, just waiting for next year. So thanks for actually taking the time to post, bud.
