Corbin changes the lineup incorrectly!!!

Post#1 » by Montanajazz » Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:55 pm

Start Favors over Milsap. Leave Williams, Williams, Jefferson and Hayward in starting five.

Go with Burkes at the 2 with Milsap at small forward. Stop this nonsense of trading Burkes, Trade
Foye with Bell for a back-up Big. . Let Burkes and Favors become real NBA players!!

Well I'm glad he finally tried something.

Hayward off the bench wasn't a bad idea, appears he was more aggressive off the bench.
Millsap has to slide over to SF for Favors to get PT, and the Jazz have done very well when Millsap pl.ays SF. Maybe Burks should get PT at SG instead of Foye, but I've pretty happy with Foye to be honest.

The Milsap at the SF position was a desperationg move at the end of last year as the Jazz didn't have a reliable SF (Howard and CJ were less than reliable). However, this year with Marvin and Carroll (and I would argue that Hayward in some cases would be better as a SF as he is a shooting guard who can't shoot or keep up with speedy SGs), Milsap should be the backup PF, and the only change necessary is switching Favors and Sap. Sap would dominate as the backup, and still could get 20-30 mins per game if Favors gets in foul trouble or struggles on some nights.

For the life of me, I can't understand why Favors isn't getting more mins. I also can't understand why Corbin didn't ride the bench longer in the Wizards game. I am starting to think that there really is no plan to set up a trade by showcasing players or gradually increase minutes and development of the younger players, I think that Corbin really isn't a very good coach or basketball mind.

There is no plan.

Corbin isn't a great coach.

Adjust your expectations accordingly.

I'm really starting to feel this way, too. I've been so patient and trusting that the FO knows what they're doing. More and more, it seems like Corbin and the Jazz are just shooting from the hip. He really looks cluelessly frustrated sometimes.
