And thus ends the Kaep era, prepare for the return of Alex Smith. Akers sucks ass, we knew that and still put the game in his hands (or on his foot I should say)

Re: Niners @ Rams
Losing to the Rams hurts. The fact that they're garbage on top of that hurts even more. The fact that we couldn't beat them earlier in the season is the icing on the pain cake.
Even since Akers hit that 63 ydr, he's been trash. The playcalling wasn't great either today. The Rams had been stuffing the run and what do we do? Run some more. Harbaugh is a FANTASTIC coach, but he does have his fair share of head scratchers.

Re: Niners @ Rams
Kaep had a decent game, but had two mistakes that costed us a chance to win. He didn't cost us the game, Walker dropped an easy TD that would have won it, Akers missed a game winning TD and our defense gave up two tying and winning FGs AGAIN to the Rams. But yeah, the play calling was pathetic and honestly, we deserved to lose both games against the Rams this year.

Re: Niners @ Rams
One of those mistakes was actually a mistake by the officials, it wasn't intentional grounding. The fumble was partly his fault, of course, but that's just horrible play calling ultimately. Just seems like a risky play to run, especially when it's a 3rd and short and you can rely on Gore/OL to get the yards needed for a first down. The play calling by Greg Roman is my big beef looking back at this game. Questionable calls when they got to the red zone and on the drive in OT for the potential game winner. What does he call? 2 straight blast run plays that really didn't go anywhere. On 2nd down, you have to try to at least get down the field and keep the drive moving or get additional yards to put your kicker in a more comfortable situation, especially with how Akers has been struggling. I would have a hard time really trusting him beyond 40 yards right now. Walker was a no-brainer dropped TD, I literally had the TD signal when Kap let that ball go lol. Walker had a couple penalties too today, just not a good day for him.
