Bargnani has ligament tear in right elbow and strained wrist

Post#1 » by Strategist1 » Wed Dec 12, 2012 5:01 pm

As per RealGM Wiretap via Ryan Wolstat
http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/224965/Bargnani_Out_Indefinitely_With_Elbow

Bargnani is out indefinitely. Casey says Ed would step in.

So is this a freak injury? Or is this a conspiracy? BC telling Bargs not to hurry back (to help ease the bad PR/publicity on Bargs)?

It's probably a freak injury but not as bad to make a player "out indefinitely".
It just seems so convenient that this injury happens the game after the "Team Meeting".
What do you think?

Edit:

Bargnani has been diagnosed with a ligament tear in his right elbow and a strained right wrist and is out indefinitely, so let’s leave him aside. Not much to see there, anyhow.

I think he is going to be traded come Saturday.

Oh great, we get to see Gray play. This season just gets better and better. :-?

Dec 15th coming up, he probably wants Bargnani to be healthy for a trade. 8-)

I think BC has sealed his destiny here, he's not trading him.

He did land on his elbow. Lowry isn't playing, either.

It was a pretty hard fall to be honest. Conspiracy is possible, but I would say its quite low.

I think he's legitimately hurt. Maybe a trade happens too, but I doubt they're related.

Just so much freaking drama surrounding this team now. It's like a soap opera. I wonder if Bargs turns up dead, but then we find out it's all just ED's dream.

Well if he is injured and there is a team that wants him, no amount of showcasing is going to add to that sentiment. So might as well sit him until he moves on.

Just speculating...

No team is going to trade for a injured player.

Colangelo wants to send Bargnani on a 5 week vacation so he is not bothered by all the drama. Can't stress his pillow cushion mind or his 3 pt game might be rattled.

No Bargnani, LK, Lowry, Johnson, Fields and Anderson. Wow... we're really tanking.

I don't doubt the injury... I just doubt the severity of it. Indefinitely usually means that the player will be out for a long while.

His injury seems to me to be more of a "Day to Day" type. X-rays were negative as well.

Lol what would we benefit from telling him not to play. I know he wasn't playing great but, no team would want part in him if he was labelled as injured. You'd rather him playing than just sitting out. Also, if you were watching the game, he clearly landed on his elbow, no conspiracy here.

This goes one of three ways.

1) He really is hurt which would only further remind us how awful our luck is since Calderon also seems to get hurt whenever he's on the block.

2) He will be traded on December 15th and they don't want him to risk getting any more hurt due to a potential trade.

3) Colangelo is going all-in on ensuring Bargnani remains in Toronto forever and has encased him frozen in carbonite.

I'm going with option 3. This is BC's new office setup
