Hey,
This is a yahoo standard 9 cat league with 12 teams. Keeper league with 4 keepers.
My current team is
PG
Lowry
Holiday
SG/SF
J.R. Smith
Kevin Martin
MWP
Batum
Durant
PF/C
Parsons
Pekovic
Kaman
Brook Lopez
Hickson
Hibbert
With the lebron trade, giving up Durant basically ruins my chances of winning FT% since he is such a beast.
Also Durant is clearly the best keeper player in basketball
On the other side, Lebron is still amazing and this trade makes me more balanced and helps me win this year while still being good for keepers..
I know the trade seems fair but if you were me would you make the trade.
Also which players should I use as my keepers if I do the trade and if I dont. I know lebron/durant are one, Batum is another but I cant decide between 2 or these 3 Holiday, Lowry, Lopez.
Lowry is the best of the bunch but oft injured, Holiday is the youngest and still puts up good numbers, but not as good as lowry, and Lopez is also injured but provides solid blocks scoring FG%
Lebron/David Lee for Durant/Hibbert

Keep:
LBJ/Durant, Batum, LOWRY and Brook.
- Holiday's scoring might dip with Bynum. Lowry looks like the main man for his team. Brook is a rare commodity, a center who has nice shooting percentages and block shots.
- It should make your job easier next season with just focusing on PFs or rebounders for your team.
The deal: It's a very smart offer from your opponent. Right now, it really looks like a fair deal. BUT, there's the upside factor in Hibbert. If Hibbert can return to his old self, the Durant/Hibbert deal would have better value talent wise. Then there's also the H2H factor. Hibbert/Durant duo can carry PPG, FG%, FT% and BPG for your team.

There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Fair offer, depends who u like better between Bron and Durant .
I would stay with what you have
I would keep Lopez and Holiday but it's a matter of personal taste. Lowry is a beast. Especially if Calderon gets traded

Re: Lebron/David Lee for Durant/Hibbert
thanks for the feedback. I ended up accepting the trade due to my lack of PG depth this year. Durant is the better keeper but Lebron helps me compete this year while still having great keepers.
The final factor was that I have Durant in another keeper league so I thought I might has well have a durant team and a Lebron team
Yeah with Hibbert I have had him on at least a team or 2 each year and he is always a let down. This year in particular because he normally starts strong then comes down to earth.

Your shotblocking isnt good but lee increases your strengths of reb, pts and asists. Your team should be very tough to beat

Durant side wins by a mile
http://basketballmonster.com/PlayerRankings.aspx
Durant is 1.15. LBJ is .73. Lee is .33. Add up LBJ and Lee and you still don't get Durant. And Durant is 1 player. They are obviously two.
Durant side cruuuushes. You made a huge mistake.

Vehemently disagree. Do you honestly believe that LeBron is going to continue shooting sub 70% from the line? Because I don't, and that's the biggest thing keeping down LeBron's value.
David Lee >> Hibbert.
LeBron/Lee > Durant/Hibbert as soon as LeBron finds his groove from the line.

Re: Lebron/David Lee for Durant/Hibbert
I can play that game too.
Do you honestly think LeBron is going to continue shooting 42% from 3? Career 33%. He did the same thing last year: 41.2% pre, 32.6% post. Or his career-low turnover rate.
It's the nature of the game, dude. There's always variance. It pretty much balances out with a known quantity like LeBron. Yeah, sure, he'll probably steal more balls. But maybe he'll play fewer minutes, or rebound less often, or the FG% drops as his 3pt% drops. Or if I wasn't lazy maybe I could go to hoopdata, see if he's shooting more shots from 16-23 feet. That likely explains why his FTA are down. So if he's shooting more jumpers, his FG% is due for regression.
Also, LeBron has shot sub-70% from the line for an entire season. So it is entirely plausible.
Meanwhile we can easily point to why Durant's having a career-best season: more responsibilities w/o Harden + still the age where improvement is standard.
BTW, despite a career-worst FG% Hibbert is only 25 spots lower than Lee.

Apathy I feel you are focusing too much on individual player rankings and not factoring it into my team make up.

Agreed
There is no way a Trade for Lebron/Lee for Durant/Hibbert is heavily favored for Durants side lol
In fact that's pure lunacy

Re: Lebron/David Lee for Durant/Hibbert
I'd rather have the Durant side because I like Durant more and prefer to focus on the top guys in deals.
But value wise it's really close. Hibbert is -.16 on BBM so value wise as of right now, the LeBron side comes out ahead slightly. But since Hibbert basically has to get better and Durant is the best player in the deal I like the Durant side.
