Feels nice to blow them out in Dallas... even if I was frustrated at the team allowing so many midrange jumpers.

Re: GT: Spurs vs. Mavericks
That has always been the weakness of the Spurs defense. Remember the days when Milwaukee Bucks used to kill us with Glenn Robinson, Ray Allen and Sam Cassell? They were incredibly good from midrange and killed us that way. Spurs defense has always been geared that way. Defend the 3 and the rim, but give up everything in between. And I also believe there's some statistics that says the least efficient shots in the NBA are the midrange shots. So it's better to give up midrange shots and long twos than paint baskets or three pointers.

Sad to see the once great Dirk pull up for a 3 and airball it. I am sure he'll return to some sort of facsimile of his former self but it's not looking great now.
Yeah, our D - and most defenses - tend to focus on interior D and the long ball, but not much in between. Teams with strong midrange games always give us trouble. But how many teams currently have consistently dangerous midrange shooters?
