I have Melo
I'm being offered two separate deals:
Hibbert + Gallinari
Vucevic + Gallinari
Hibbert had a wrist issue throughout the year (don't know if it's still there) and confidence issues, he's still a top shot blocker and is a one category difference maker and possibly a buy low.
Is Vucevic a buy high situation? He's a monster right now, practically Joakim Noah without the assists stats wise. He's also averaging a steal per for the month of December on 12/12 53% FG averages.. I'm really contemplating this deal. Melo sometimes slows down and Stoudemire will eventually get more shots + Felton and Shumpert will return.
What do you guys think? I really am leaning toward one of this deals, especially because my C's absolutely suck (lost Bogut + Bynum for the year - replaced by Koufos / Blatche).
Hibbert/Gallo for Melo or Vucevic/Gallo for Melo?

Keep Melo. Gallinari is so inconsistent you never know what you will get. Hibbert is nothing special, is Robin Lopez available on waivers? He is as good or better than Hibbert. If you are going to trade Melo, who is playing like a monster right now, and you want a center, you shoud be aiming for a top 5 centre. go for Marc Gasol, or Al Jeff, or at very least B Lopez. D Cousins is a monster if your league doesnt count PF as a cat, he is starting to dominate recently like i thought he would, check his last 4 games

Re: Hibbert/Gallo for Melo or Vucevic/Gallo for Melo?
Even though I'm keeping him I've lost many weeks with him despite his best season to date. I needed more balance and no one will include a top center in my money league for him.
Most people in my league consider melo a tier 2 not a tier 1 so they won't offer top players for him. The best offer I got to date was James harden for melo 1 for 1 but its a lateral trade for me. I think vucevic is pretty damn good at this point all things considered. I took the gallo and vucevic deal and dropped Mullens, it helps me in a lot of cats. Melo is amazing but slightly overrated in fantasy circles, and most opposing gms don't treat him like a 1st rounder in trades unfortunately.

If you throw the name value you out, you don't think Vucevic is playing like a top big in December? If he continues this - and gets better over the course of the season, then I think it's a fair trade. If I wanted a third player he would want me to include a second and at that point things get complicated.
He's ranked 20th overall the past 7 days based on average stats (obviously it's a bit skewed given his monster 29 rebound game but nonetheless).
As far as Melo goes I've dealt with several owners over the past few weeks and really no one is willing to give up anything significant, unless it's a 1 for 1 deal. If I simply deal him for a big, then I lose out balance because I'll have problems at SF moving forward.

For the record over the last 14 days Vucevic is averaging:
55% FG on 12 attempts, 15 ppg, 14 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block, 1.3 turnovers.. the only real negative is his FT 52% on 1.8/3.5 FTA..
He's also the third best rebounder in the league behind Kevin Love and Dwight Howard over the past 30 days..say what you will but that's a very valuable player to own..

I would had done Melo for Harden in a heartbeat...
Now you have to deal with the consequences

So it's only a fair trade if the absolute best-case scenario occurs?
My point exactly.

You know what's missing from those 14 days? Glenn Davis. He's been our about 2 1/2 weeks, it's no coincidence that Vucevic suddenly improved when Davis went down. What do you think is going to happen when he returns? He'll come back down to earth and post the same stats he was earlier in the season.
Which isn't bad but you just bought high on a center who probably has no where but down to go. At least with Hibbert there's was a hope he can improve and become more valuable down the road but with Vucevic he's reached his ceiling with his current opportunity and you're just hoping he doesn't regress.
