Doug Collins and D' Antonii are happy campers.

Post#1 » by SparksFly87 » Fri Jan 25, 2013 8:09 pm

Philly trades:

Evan Turner, Thaddues Young, Spencer Hawes , Jason Richardson and Arnette Moultrie

For

Pau Gasol, Ron Artest, Jordan Hill and Jodie Meeks.

Philly gets

Great fits around Jrue Holiday and Bynum. A high end 4/5 who can hold his own with or without Bynum in Gasol. A defensive smallforward in Artest. A spot up shooting gaurd and Doug Collins favorite in Jodie Meeks. A high motor-energy big man in Jordan Hill.

Lakers get:

Evan Turner gets a fresh start under the tulege of future hall of famers Steve Nash and Kobe. Turner 6th man and will be a great potential predecessor to Kobe and Nash as a lead guard in a few years. Shawn Marion type hybrid PF in Thad Young, a face up 5/4 in Spencer Hawes, a veteran sharp shooter in Jason Richardson and a young big man prospect in Arnette Moultrie to fit around Dwight Howard. A younger more athletic team.

trying to recreate the 08-10 Lakers without Kobe seems like a flawed plan, no?

Too good for LA imo.

Gasol to Philly is a decent idea though. But I doubt Philly want anyone else on that roster. I mean they could have probably got Dwight with Denver involved if they felt it was worth the risk.

Hawes, Richardson, N.Young for Gasol seems fair to me.
Though I guess LA would pass because of JRiches 3rd year.

Hawes, N.Young, D.Wright for Gasol works. Maybe Philly add Moultrie as incentive.

Hawes, Young, Wright, Moultrie for Gasol, Clark.

Not only does Philly not want Gasol or MWP, but we're certainly not trading 2 good young starters, a good vet, and a good backup for them... One of the worst Philly trades I've seen... Note to others. Sparks' opinions of the Sixers IN NO WAY reflect other fans' opinions at all. This is horrible.

What do you think of Hawes, N.Young, D.Wright for Gasol?

I think it's a great trade. ! Take out Moultrie. Lakers add a late 1st rder . Done deal.

Sixers compliments around Jrue and Bynm their two center pieces. Off ball shooters , a high end PF and a athletic big off bench. Win!!

Jrue
Meeks / Swaggy P off ball shooters
Metta/ Wright. Long wings
Gasol a High end PF/ C /////Allen back up
Bynum/ J. Hill athletic big

I just don't want him. I mean the value is fine, but I don't want to trade 2 expirings and a cheap 2 year deal for one REALLY big 2 year deal that f**ks up our cap space.

That's an awful starting lineup.

Jrue = Jrue
Richardson > Meeks
Turner >>>>>>>> MWP
(value wise) Thad >>> Gasol
Bynum = Bynum

Gasol is no longer a high end PF btw...

IMO that deal doesnt work well for either team. Hawes is a good fit next to Howard I guess, but Turner undoes that.

To make both Collins and MD happy, they both need to be fired and become announcers. I don't think either guy will be happy much this year.
