but seriously you all know what the game on sunday means. the opportunity to put a big question mark on our rivals face about whether they can still make the playoffs are not. i HATE the celtics so much and this is by far the game i want us to win so badly. i still watch this once a week...

this is ray allen's first return to boston after he came over to miami in the 2012 off-season...

we beat the celtics on opening night back on 10/31/2012 120-107. now let's make it 2-0. and if u like gifs then enjoy some of these that i found of lebron & d-wade in that classic BOS/MIA ecf series back in the 2011-12 playoffs...

Nice thread.

Damn Game 6 was the turning point for everything. You never know what you're capable of until you TRULY face adversity. I'll never forget that game.

Boston has been trash lately but you just know they are going to give it their best against the HEAT. Hopefully Ray can have a big game in his return to the Garden.

Nice thread staging.

I'd love to add to all the Celtic consternation. Big performance on Sunday.

Gaame 6 is forever a legendary game.

How awesome would it be for Ray to nail the game winning 3 pointer on Sunday? LOL

thanks guys, i had to spice it up a bit since i hate the celtics and they're our rival. that game 6 was such a classic, almost better then us coming back from down 0-2 in the finals against the mavs in 06. the thing that made that game so special was all the criticism that the heat (mostly lebron) had going into that game. everybody had counted us out and were ready to put on another lebron bashing spree but boy did he rise to the occasion. he was just un human that game, he had the jumper going, he was posting up, 2 sick dunks that i posted gifs of in the op, he hit two big 3 pointers, basically he did anything you can think of.

i want the celtics to look like this after sunday...

Almost? It was flat out better. THE best performance in an elimination game I've ever seen. No one wants to get down 0-2 in the Finals but it's still a series. Game 6...you WIN or you GO HOME. That's it. Plus the amount of pressure Lebron faced...losing that game. Wow, I can only imagine how different this year would be. I'll tell you this much, as spectacular as he played in the series prior, he would no longer have been "King" James, but a meer Prince of Kevin Durant..lol or so the media would have you believe. Game 6 tops ANY performance I've ever seen because of the amount of pressure on an athlete that's never been seen with his legacy literally being on the line.

I hope Spo play the Birdman at least 10 minutes in this game. He had two rebounds in 3 minutes playing time, and Joel had just one rebound in 17 minutes playing time.
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

We dont need to overplay the Bird too much if he's not in shape yet, we dont want him to get injured. Just give him small minutes every game and in a month or so he'll be ready for bigger minutes. H's already about 75% in shape according to him.

Game 6 was better than our 06 Finals comeback? Yeah, no, not even close.

It's definitely up there in terms of single performance GAMES of all time but not series performances. What you kept going on about was LeBron's legacy. In terms of Miami's HEAT's legacy, that was the first time the Heat got to the finals and were a couple of plays from going 0-3, so that game was virtually a win or get a eliminated in the next game anyways since no team has come back from 0-3 down. Plus it was in the finals, coming back from 0-2 to win their first championship will always be number 1 in terms of Miami Heat moments.

If the Heat got eliminated last year in game 6, LeBron would be hated on sure but they'd still have a chance to win a title this year unlike the 06 squad that was one and done due to age and injuries

As a single performance? Absolutely. It's not just the 45/15/5...it's about doing that with EVERYTHING on the line. IN BOSTON's house. The amount of pressure/scrunity he faced...was unseen of an athlete in ANY time period. Look at it this way, If HEAT lose 2006 Finals, absolute bummer for the players and fans...but as far as legacy? Does Wade damage his? Nope, no real expectations there, he was just getting started. Shaq? Yeah **** right, one of the greatest big men of all time with 3 rings already. There's a difference from being able to play freely with the whole world rooting for you verses a "ME against the World" feel, and that was certainly Lebron. Haslem even went on record to describe the 2012 championship as "10 times better" than the one he won in 2006. That tells you something about what was going through their heads the entire season. Game 6 was just historic and the turning point.

Yup plus Boston's one of the few teams that small ball works well against.

Great GT though dreamchaser! I don't simply want the win... I want to blow these guys out!!

Team should go into this game with the same mindset as the Lakers game. Don't let them start a winning streak against us.

From Celtic board:
I don't like overrated and over protected superstar, so I don't like LBJ...

LBJ wouldn't be a star in a league fairy whistled, maybe he can become one, but until the refs make all easy for him he will never have the desire to play BBall right... KD is a real SStar and the best player in the league.

Some fouls called on him instead of silly no-whistles will change his style of play forever, he is a star because he is a star but with those whistles he wouldn't be the AstroMegaGigaSuperstar he is considered now. I love the game and I don't like what NBA is doing to it, a game featuring less show-oriented officiating will led to Olympics-Leborn, still a great player but miles away from Bird, Magic and MJ.... That guys played the game properly and never had an issue with international officiating, they can score at will and defend at the top, not like LBJ.
