Bynum update, still worth the stash?

So Bynum's case is getting worse. Seems like he'll make an early march return, realistically.

I guess this is my cue to drop him and pick up Mullens.

I think I might give up on waiting, which sucks because I could've performed much better the last couple matchups if I had someone playing in his spot.

But seriously, my team is starting to slip a bit and I can't afford to waste a roster spot in a non playoff league.

I'm considering dropping him too. If he's back in mid march I don't have the confidence he can finish the season. Is he still of worth with 20 mins a game playing every other game??

i dropped him...after holding on to him for a month! I missed out on a few points if I used that extra spot which could have really helped me tremendously.

I doubt he is going to be back before Feb ends, if anything, he will come back mid-late march...and that is IF he is cleared to do lateral movements and 1 on 1 by next week. Even when he comes back, his conditioning is going to be horrible so he will only get 15-20 min a game. And it's going to take him a few games to shake the rust off. Not worth it IMO.

Yea now I'm just mad for stashing him in the first place, could've been closer to 1st in my league if I had an active player in his spot

His upside goes from t30 to t50. His % of availability (almost entirely conjecture) goes from ~80% to ~60%. I'd probably pass but it depends on who's available and what place I'm in.

I just dropped him. To pile on to what everyone has already said, Bynum has been a notoriously slow healer.

hate the fact that he isn't coming back.. i've stashed him for over a month like some of you guys.. but whats hurt me is that i've been stashing granger and rose at the same time and its a killer that this is happening. I now need to work some trades to get back to where i was..

I've spent the entire year stashing someone, currently it's Bynum but maybe I should consider Kevin Love or even Pau.

With Love you have Minny's sexy playoff schedule and considering his hand is the only issue his conditioning should be up to game speed soon as he returns. Even though that may only be available for our playoffs. Who's the bigger risk?

What if you are playing an IR league? I'd say Bynum is hella worth the stash then

It should be alerted that Rose should be dropped across the board. He announced that he won't be back until early march at the earliest, possibly out for the season. Even if he does return, he will only be playing to a limited capacity for a while.

Eh, I'm not so sure. The news from the past week hasn't been very optimistic. Especially with this tidbit from today:

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/1476/derrick-rose

He says that the work outs haven't been going as well as he had hoped at this stage, and he still hasn't started dunking yet. I just don't think he's at that stage where he can come back and immediately play ~30 min during the fantasy playoffs.

They already stated that he definitely won't be back before March 1st.

I don't know, I'm probably overreacting. But just putting some feelers out there.

Ya i just saw this too. Seems like pretty terrible news. I have been stashing him for a while now, I will wait for a few more updates but damn, he is def not going to rush anything and will def be limited when he does come back, dunno if he could get to have enough value by fantasy playoffs, if he even playing then. Might have to drop and stash Bynum

he hasn't suffered setbacks. everyone says he looks fine in workouts. need to hear that quote in context cause lord knows it's hella easy to blow something out of proportion. id still be patient. progress is not linear.

have you heard anything more recent about bynum or kevin love? they are both on my wire, and Kevin Love could be a big pickup if he comes back mid march like the last report said. Buuuuut he was shooting 35% for the season and 20% on 3s and I can't be having that if he will continue to be that inefficient if he returns.
