I am not sure I understand how MMA contracts works.

Apparently the UFC insists on a clause were they can cut you after any loss if you want. But fighters often sign multi-fight deals which they can't get out of, so most contracts bound the fighter to a promotion, but the promotion often has the option to terminate the contract?

Are signing bonuses like what they offered Alvarez that common? (If so, for much less money I assume). If not, why do fighters sign long multi-fight deals? Speaking of Alvarez , is that right to match clause after your contract is up common?

For that matter why is there talk about Anderson Silvia signing a 8 or 10 fight contract when he is unlikely to have that many more fights? He's still just getting paid per fight, and the longer deal just locks him up to the UFC for longer? (Unless they cut him of course).

It's normal for the UFC to get lifetime rights to fighters for things like video games?

If what Dana said was true (I'm quite skeptical) and they cut Fitch because he's not worth 60K (or whatever) a fight, can they not renegotiate without cutting him first? Doesn't how much fighters get paid per fight change sometimes even on a multi-fight deal?

additionally, heard that fighters are guaranteed a certain number of fights per year (3?) and if not offered that number in calender year, paid nonetheless. ? assuming they don't turn down/become injured.
