Zeller with a good 2nd half.

Is it me or do these guys seem to not know what they really need to do. One of the biggest issues that I've had with Zeller is his rebounding and lack of aggression. Finally someone calls him out on it (or at least there's an article about it) and he puts up 12 pts and 6 rebounding in the second half. We need that kind of play every game and he shouldn't have to be told.

When the Cavaliers hit the locker room at halftime of Saturday's game against the Orlando Magic at Amway Center, they were tied, 51-51, after blowing a 10-point lead. It was pointed out, not too gently, that starting center Tyler Zeller had one rebound.

"We challenged him and he came out there with a full effort," Kyrie Irving said. "He took it as a personal challenge. That's what we need from him on a consistent basis in order for us to be good."

Zeller responded with 12 points and six rebounds in the second half to help the Cavs rout the reworked Orlando Magic, 118-94.

He is so dang inconsistent. For being a senior at Carolina - I really had thought he would come in with much better consistency.

I don't understand why his jump shot seems so broken. He get a bunch of 8-12 foot jump shots but can't hit a thing normally. Daggone shame because Kyrie seems to find him pretty often for that shot.

Just a confidence thing. He needs to add 15 pounds and shoot 300 or so 15 footers a day in the offseason.

After just one game he turns back into old Zeller. Dude, get some muscle and some heart.

I think he get be a pretty decent player but i dont see him as a long term prospect at centre if we want to be any good. Hes never gonna be a force defensively.

The single best thing any center can do defensively is to grab defensive rebounds.

yeah but he's playing to Tristan who's a good defensive rebounder.

I'd be encouraged about Tyler if he was one & done player, but we have little choice but to see what an off-season work out regimen and hopefully some added confidence can do for his game.

At least he's had a couple of good games. He was in such a rut, I was thinking he should be moved to the bench just to maintain his sanity.

To be fair he's still much better than the guys Dallas picked with our picks in that trade.

Arguably better than all the guys picked after him, give or take Nicholson & Sullinger.
