I remember never hearing about this term before the trade deadline of 2010 when we were going after Amare Stoudemire/Antawn Jamison/Troy Murphy... (why the **** was Troy Murphy part of those rumors)
and ever since then, I kept hearing that terminology over and over and over again.
I mean of course by definition stretch 4s always existed, but the actual term I haven't seen it used before.

No but the lack of one was one of the main ways of calling LeBron's cast weak.

We talked about having a stretch 4 before all of the guys mentioned in this thread... The first guy I remember calling a stretch 4 was actually Donyell Marshall.
