Francona: Facing Red Sox Doesn't Have To Be 'Nostalgia Week'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Apr 15, 2013 12:19 pm

Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona will face the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night for the first time since he left the club and returned to managing after a year as a analyst.

Francona won 744 games, the second-highest total in franchise history, and two World Series titles with the Red Sox.

"To be honest, I'm an Indian," Francona said. "I'm aware of the questions and everything, and I have a lot of great memories, but I don't think it's fair to the players. This game is hard enough to play. They don't need to be worrying about me having nostalgia week. They just need to try to beat them."
