Jason Kidd's last 8 games: 157+ MP, 0-16 FG, 0 PTS

I usually like guys who can contribute without scoring and hate the chuckers who do nothing but shoot, but he hasn't scored in almost 3 weeks. It's been 8 games, with 157:17 of game play elapsed, and after 16 FGA, he still hasn't gotten a bucket yet? Or somehow managed to get to the line?

It's genuinely shocking, yes. Pacers defense on the wings has been so solid, though.

That isn't Jason Kidd out there. Jason Kidd actually retired several years ago. This is just his old fat cousin Bert. And Bert should really retire before he pulls his career averages down so low that some future realgmer in 2040 makes an advanced stats argument about how he should not have been a HOFer.

His stats over the last 8 games:
22.8 MPG
0-16 FG 0-0 FTA 0 Points
3,2 TRB
2.4 AST
1.4 TO
0,7 STL

Must be historically bad...

And these stats dont even show how terrible he was on defense...

How do you not score a single point in 8 games?

What Kidd brings to the team isn't scoring anyway. It's the leadership and veteran experience that he gives to guys like Melo and Smith that makes him valuable.

Then he should be fulfilling that role on the bench, not on the court where he's doing tremendous harm. Intangibles and leadership are integral for a team to function but you still need to do something on for your team. I'd sacrifice all of his intangibles for a player that can at least score a little bit and not get torched defensively.

...but he doesn't contribute. He's playing horrific defense too.

He's, simply, the worst player in the NBA.

Except that he has not done that either. He is not helping the Knicks in any way possible other than moving the ball. Moving the ball is important but Prigioni is better at it (along with everything else). There is literally no argument for Kidd to be playing instead of Prigioni. None. Zero. Nada.

He has been worse than Perkins and that's saying a lot.

He looked like he was going to score on a fast break but his lay-up completely missed the rim.

I think the giant fork that's sticking out of his back is what's causing his problems.

It's amazing how far he has fallen since the 2011 championship run. It was only 2 years ago... I remember the first game in the first round against Portland, he had 20+ points, and hit at least one fadeaway.

He should just retire after this season. He's had a great career and already has a ring.
