Thanks for the post, Pharoah.

Funny blog. He took a paragraph to inform us of a basic statistic terms of standard error. Then failed to identify what standard deviation is, while essentially using it.

Not to tear the blogger down. He made a good point about the "expert analysts", they're usually wrong. Why is that? Because psychics are BS, and they're taking a stab in the dark based on their opinion, intuition and historical data. Additionally, unless you're a long term gambler, it really doesn't matter.

Outside of a bet with a co-worker or friend on a series, I don't gamble. I did gamble my friend who's a Cavs fan $100 that the Pistons would have a better season the year after LeBron left. He lost, and went double or nothing, and I won $200. :lol:

Anyways, the guy didn't tell us anything we didn't already know. But, it's still an interesting topic to converse upon.
