If Houston gets Chris Paul Hou-Milw

Post#1 » by Mykhyn » Mon Jun 10, 2013 3:09 am

Bucks out: John Henson
Bucks in: Jeremy Lin

Rockets out: Lin
Rockets in: Henson
'

Rockets get a cheaper player who is still good and get the cap space to sign Chris Paul to max

Bucks get a potential star and someone they can market to draw fans.

Gotta admit this seems like a Buck's move.

I could see Mil trading nothing for Lin (depending on what their backcourt plans are - it's a blank slate at this point), but not adding Henson at all.

Maybe Udoh - who looks to be their 4th big, but who looks very good in +/- stats that Morey might appreciate more than Hammond.

Lin value isn't this high.

I would agree to any other team. Bucks need him.

Plenty of Lin caliber FAs that could be had at a fraction of the cost.

Lin marketability is plummeting. And Milwaukee does not have a large asian population to market him to.

Definite no-go for the Bucks if we're objectively assessing value. But since they're the Milwaukee Bucks, I could see this trade realistically happening.

Thats what I'm saying. I can see it working for them from their skewed thoughts.

Henson is our future. Easy no.

I wouldn't want the Bucks to do it. I don't know if Lin is worth $10 million a year. I really believe there are better ways to spend cap space. Now if Houston added a 2014 first round pick I would probably do it.

He's not wondering if you would pass. He knows Hammond would accept this

Rockets still wouldn't be able to sign Howard and Paul. Even if Houston traded Lin and Asik for a second round pick, they would still need Howard and Paul to take a pay cut.

Lin isn't worth his contract. Add to that, the Rockets just told the world they want to dump salary to sign Howard and Paul. Yes, they had to "leak" their plan so Howard would have a preliminary idea. But now, the Rockets will have to pay a steep price to dump Lin for cap space.

Obviously awful for MIlwaukee.

But I like the fact that you think we'd still do it because our GM/Owner are idiots. Shows you're paying attention.

I think they will go ahead Jeff Teague before even doing that trade. I dont see too many teams going to after Lin.

Reading comprehension. I never said they could get both.
