Chad Johnson gets 30 days for Spanking Lawyer

He appeared before a Broward County courtroom May 20 over the alleged probation violations when the judge ordered he be arrested and jailed with a bond set at $1,000.

While a plea deal was in the works Johnson screwed it up by slapping his male lawyer’s butt during the hearing, which enraged the judge who asked him if he thought this was all a “joke.”

“I had no intent to make this a joke,” he said, “because my life is in shambles right now.”In turn, the deal was tossed, the former pro athlete was kicked out of the courtroom and has now been sentenced to a month in lock down.

This is clearly a case where the judge has her head up her a*. i don't know if gender had anything to do with it, but it seemed a bit over the top for the judge to throw out the plea agreement. He literally just looked over at the lawyer and said good job and slapped his butt. wasn't over exaggerated over anything. i actually feel bad for the guy.

Yeah...Watching the video the judge looked flustered and embarrassed. It was the officers who started laughing after all..maybe she should punish them instead. All in all..just a ridiculous situation where this lady was clearly butt-hurt and went on a quick power trip

Rookie judge Katie McHugh, who won her seat in November in an upset win over ethically-challenged former County Commish Ilene Lieberman, called herself “legally blind” during campaign appearances.

McHugh, 44, said she suffers from Stargardt’s Disease, a rare genetic condition.

And her handicap made it impossible for her to obtain a driver’s license!

i honestly hope this gets enough attention to warrant some sort of repercussions for that judge or brings into light other questionable calls. That didn't seem like justice as much as it seemed like a personal vendetta

This Judge Kathleen McHugh is an IDIOT, Chad is not a CEO, he has been a pro athlete all his life, the slap on the as was more of an involuntary reaction for a guy who has been doing it for the last 30 years. the judge just finish complimenting Chad for having a good lawyer, then Chad slaps him on the butt like saying 'good job', then she goes all btch crazy, if Chad patted his lawyer on the back, it would have been no big deal, the judge just had no clue. talk about abuse of power.

Broward County Circuit Judge Kathleen McHugh accepted Johnson's apology and cut his 30-day jail term for a probation violation to the seven days he has already served since the rear-swatting incident. Johnson, a flamboyant wide receiver formerly known as Chad Ochocinco, said in court that he'd had time to think about why his flippant attitude was wrong — especially in a domestic violence case.

"I just wanted to apologize for disrespecting the court last time," said Johnson, wearing a tan jail jumpsuit with his hands shackled at the waist. "I apologize. I did have time to reflect on the mistakes I made in this courtroom."
