Obviously KCP and Mitchell were great picks/fits for us, but Siva isn't getting to much love.
I think he is an instant upgrade over Bynum and is a great fit for our 2nd unit. He has elite speed/quickness, is a potential lock-down defender and has decent court vision. Throw in that he is a winner and has a great character and I think we got a steal with him.
I wouldn't be surprised if he played 15-20mpg next season and really excelled.
Side Note - He isn't going to score a ton and is a bad shooter, but his BBall IQ is very high and he won't be expected to score. He will have some nice weapons to pass to on this team.

I think (and hope) he makes the team next year, but calling him an upgrade over Bynum is a stretch. I agree with all the things you said about him (speed, defense, vision, etc.) I just think he's going to need some time before he's ready to contribute. I expect us to sign a backup PG in the offseason and Siva stays on as the 3rd PG to gain experience and potentially take over in the future as the backup. I don't see him doing much this season though.

Re: Peyton Siva.
I liked Siva a lot coming out of high school, but after watching him for 4 years of college I think he'll be a career 3rd point guard. if he can somehow develop a decent 3 point shot he could be a solid back-up, but im not going to hold my breath. if his defense doesn't translate he's probably Euro bound.
